Calm down Chicken Little I'm literally going through and removing references to Soarin' right now. Though I'll probably leave it in for June as most indications seem to be pointing to a reopening by then. As far as Big Thunder, refurbishments get moved around all the time. The opening or closing wouldn't have any effect on the recommendations. If it's closed you'd obviously just put a line through it on your plan and move everything up 15 to 20 minutes.

Always a pleasure to see you lurking here Josh.

I have to anticipate Soarin' NOT being open during our stay in June/July, but I hope you are correct.

However, I do think the new Frozen ride in Norway will be the Tier-1 FP+ my family uses for our only Epcot day. This notion was punctuated by my 'little princess' indicating she'd like to enjoy one 'princess meal', so Akershus reenters the calculus for us mere long-distance vacationers. We'll see how this plays out by my FP+ 60-day window.

Big Thunder closure is a different calculus for those of us with children wanting a 'thrill ride'. While I have always been successful obtaining FP+ for 7-Dwarfs Mine Train, it's a lousy substitute for a thrill ride, particularly now that my child is 48" and can finally enjoy Rock'n'Roller Coaster.

We arrive June 5 and are keeping our fingers crossed that Soarin' is open by then! Definitely a favorite and we don't want to have to wait for our 2017 trip.

Soarin' is slated to reopen on June 2. Hopefully it stays that way! :)
