Easy treat for class holiday party?

Any ideas for a relatively easy treat I can make for my DD's holiday party at school? I would like to do something festive, but fairly easy since I'll also be helping with my other DD's holiday party that same day. I can't use anything with peanuts, nuts or peanut butter due to allergies.

not sure if this is the kind of thing you are looking for but my kids love them
(very quick and easy)

heat oven to 325 degrees

take one bag of small pretzels

one bag of hersheys kisses

one bag of the green and red M&Ms

place the pretzels out on a cookie sheet, place one kiss in the middle of each pretzel, place in the oven to soften the kiss, once softened, remove from the oven and push one M&M down in the middle of the kiss, let cool!

That is cute. I wonder if I could use something else in place of the M&Ms. Even the plain ones says may contain peanuts cause they make them on the same line. I wonder if Kissables come in green and red for Christmas???

We avoid all chocolate with the child with peanut allergies in our school. Need to ask the mom of the child. One thing parents like to do in our school is to use cookie cuters for things other than cookies. Cut rice crispy treats or approved sandwiches out with tree or bell cookie cutters. My kids also LOVE those christmas shaped marshmellows. Had a parent one year cut pizza dough in tree shapes and made individual pizzas. Many doughs are not peanut free either so if there is a known allegry I would check with the parent to be safe!!!

You could do those ready to bake Pillsbury cookies, those are safe and EASY.

I also like the Pillsbury ready to use gingerbread cookie dough. I form it into 1 inch balls, then roll it in sugar and bake. So quick and easy, and yummy if you like gingerbread!

I love that the Pillsbury stuff is safe (my son is PA).

I like to do Rice Krispie Treats and dye the marshmallow mixture green. You can use cookie cutters to make Christmans trees and red hots for decorations. My cousin also does this with Corn Flakes, but forms them into wreath shapes. Both are a big hit with the kids!

It's great that your school lets you bring in homemade stuff. The days of making cupcakes for a class party are over.

The pretzel rings were my first thought. If you use Hugs, you get a striped candy in the middle.

I was going to suggest the Holly Wreaths (just like rice krispie treats, but use corn flakes and green dye then decorate with cinnamon jots).

My son has a chocolate allergy, so any holliday is a struggle now.

try those sugar cookies that are in holiday shapes you bake before, bring them to school, and let the kids decorate them. put out like frosting, sprinkles, and little candies.

Did you see the idea of making the cookie pops on that website? I have decided that is what I'm going to make for my sweet treat.
Teacher also wants a salty treat. Pretzels would be the obvious thing... I wonder if there is some kind of mix I could do that would be nut free???

Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer Cupcakes


Make cupcakes and frost them with chocolate icing.

Use yellow Skittles or M&Ms for eyes (I then used a small dot of black gel for eyeballs)

Red BlowPops or DumDums for the nose

Take small pretzels and break them in half (harder than it sounds) and put them above the eyes for antlers

You can also use the thin red licorice for a smile

I bet the kids will *love* the cookie pops, those are great!! I may make some of those for my sons preschool class party too.

As far as a mix, you could just do the pretzels along with some goldfish crackers (they come in red and green for the holidays if you can find them-I haven't noticed them yet this year, but I haven't been looking either), mini marshmallows are always popular and they'll get the salty/sweet thing going. Put it in little holiday themed ziploc bags, or plain bags with holidays stickers on them, and the kids will love it.

I'm not a cook either. EASY is my middle name!

I have made individual "Dirt" cups. Bought those very small clay pots at Dollar Tree and decorated with each child's name. Wash and let dry. Spray each pot with non stick spray. Fill each one half way with cake batter,I use chocolate but any flavor will do. Bake on cookie sheet lined with foil and let cool.Ice with icing or pudding. Crush bag of Oreos' until dirt like consistancy. Fill Pot almost to top with mixture, stick in a few Sour Gummy Worms.Stick in Popcicle stick like a garden stake Kids live this.
For a funnier version. Crush bag of those white Oreos or Vanilla Creme cookies. Separate in half. Mix one half with green food coloring and make it really green. Sprinkle some of both on top of cake then a couple of unwrapped Tootsie Roll Midgets. Looks like used cat litter. Older kids LOVE this.Can be served in a NEW Car Litter box lined with newspaper. It was a big hit at a recent get together.Go Figure
