WE HAVE RESER. FOR MAY AT THE POLY. I HAVE BOOKED THE DREAM MAKER PACKAGE, AND I AM ANXIIOUSLY AWAITING THE NEW CODES. HOPEFUL THAT THEY HAVE SOME FOR THE POLY.
MY QUESTION IS; I WOULD LIKE TO SEND MONEY IN ON MY TRIP BUT I AM WEARY AS FOR HOW EASY IT IS TO GET IT ALL TRANSFERED IF I CALL WITH A CODE. DOES ANYONE KNOW EXACTLY HOW THIS HAPPENS? CAN YOU USE CODES FOR PACKAGE DEALS? SHOULD I HOLD OFF ON SENDING IN MORE MONEY?
THANKFUL FOR ANY HELP THAT YOU CAN GIVE.
HAPPY PLANNING.

Hi Sandy.:)

Did you book your package through a travel agent or did you book yourself? If you booked through a TA, I'd call him or her and ask them, if you booked yourself, I'd call CRO or whoever you booked with and ask.

That being said, I have called and added discount codes to a ressie after having booked but it was on a room only ressie. They didn't give me any problem, just added the code and adjusted the charges. Sending in $$ tword your stay probably isn't a problem, I just wouldn't send the full amount due so that you won't need to go through the hassel of having them refund you the difference.

Sorry if this wasn't much help:rolleyes: Best of luck and let us know how you make out.

Worse case scenario you will have to rebook and pay a second deposit, then cancel and receive your original deposit back. We had to do that twice. First we had regular rates, then DC discounts came out and we had to make the switch. When AP discounts came out we had to make the switch again. All original deposits were credited in a speedy fashion. I would not hesitate to do this again. I chose not to pay any more than the required deposit since I was hoping to have the benefit of a code. As soon as I was set with the code that I wanted I paid the entire vacation rather than just a deposit.

I've never had any trouble with them applying my deposits to reservations I've made changes to when switching discount codes. That said, I never pay more than the minimum deposit until I have to pay the balance. While it's nice to have the room paid for, it's an awful lot of money to let them have in advance. I'd rather it sit in a fund at least drawing a little interest rather than let Disney have it. Also, should something happen and we have to cancel, I'd rather have my money in my hands than wait for a credit.

Just food for thought......
