I'll be heading down to Pop Century in about 10 days and just wanted to call in my preferance on buildings.

Ok here goes......should I get a preferred building and if not which is the closest to everything. What would you ask for.

thanks,

Preferred is not much closer than 70's or 50's. The 60's in the back is farther than some of the rooms in the the 70's building or the 50's building A and C. I was in the 50's A building with a pool view and it was less than a 5 minute walk to the food court or the buses.

70's Building B is probably closest to Everything Pop and the bus stops (just follow the trail thru the grass and bushes). They are also the only buildings w/o a pool.

Rooms 0149-0160 (1st floor), 0249-0260 (2nd), 0349-0360, 0449-0460 are on the parking lot side, w/rooms ending in 60 at the end closest to EP.

Rooms 0161-0172, etc. face the foosball side, w/rooms ending in 61 at the end closest to EP.

Here's a link Tyler posted to some pick's and a map. The building #'s are the 1st digit, the floor is the 2nd and the room #'s are the last 2.

When facing the icon in the center of the building, room #01 is to the right of the icon and room #72 is to the left. The room #'s increase as you go counter clockwise around the building.

I also had this same question I did not pay extra for the preferred but I did request the 70's building.:earseek:

We've stayed in 60's A, 50's A, and 70's B.(listed in the order we stayed.

60's was great it was close to the lobby and food court but no parking close by. 50's A was great too. Walk was about 2 mins more than 60's and being able to park close was also good. 70's was closer to the bus stop but parking was a nightmare. Luckily I had my DD18 with us so she went to park the car. Any of the 3 listed are good. But if you do choose 60's (preferred) make sure you are not put close to the lake its just as far as the other buildings if close is what you are striving for.

Hope that made sense LOL

Go for the 50's section! We had a room facing Hourglass Lake, room 3118 and it was like a lake-view at a value resort! There was no noise and the view was very open! Plus just around the corner was the Bowling Pin pool and a 2 minute walk was the main building!

My opinion is don't waste your money on a preferred room, a majority of the rooms are just as "far" as the 50's and 70's with only a smaller portion facing the main pool/main building.
