My six year old and I made a very simple quest today for young kids. Not much reading. You do need the drive pin with blue car. If you have urchins who play vmk, send 'em to easy little kid quest. I'll leave it open the rest of today.

Wow what a great idea! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I realize now it is dumb  to require the drive pin for the youngest kids, so I'll do another quest tomorrow or Sunday that won't require any magic.

As a person who can't do the green car quest because no bat magic, I can relate to the frustration. :rotfl:

Thank you for doing this! We won't be able to get to it tonight (I'm taking my daughters to see our local high school musical...they are doing Brigadoon) but I am really looking forward to having my seven year old try the one without the magic this weekend!

Right now, she is excellent at looking at a picture and knowing which place on VMK it might be...she is much better at this than I am! So I'm sure she will love your quest!!

Thanks again!!!!!

:) I'm going to revamp the quest tomorrow afternoon. So your daughter can look for it late tomorrow afternoon or Sunday afternoon. :sunny:

Thanks, Nano, for the prize donations for the kiddos.

Great Idea. Nice to see that the even the youngest kids can enjoy playing a quest.

thanks Dashap - I'll look for this. My youngest DD LOVES the game. She saved up her credits that she got on her own for about 3 days and was finally able to purchase the queen of hearts couch today. She was SO excited!! I know she'd love an easier quest.

New and improved quest open today 2-4 CST. Look for easy little kid quest

Nice. I've thought about doing one for the young kids too. I just haven't worked on one yet. I really want to do several quests. One super easy for the kids (with furniture for prizes), a medium difficult and a super difficult quest where you really have to know your Disney films. :)

But I just have to work on them! ;)

Nice. I am working on a sort of educational quest, aimed at the young vmkers. I will take a look at yours for sure!!

I've been trying to start with a difficult trivia one and then do an easy one for children, but... I've been working on the difficult quest for a week and am still nowhere near done. :badpc: Most of it is trivia based, and it's nearly impossible because of the dictionary and what's allowed/not allowed. I have great ideas, but then I type the questions or answers in only to get the blinking red text of doom. :rolleyes1

So yeah, whenever I finish that one and get it running for awhile, I'll make one for children as well. With minimum questions for my own sanity. :lmao:

Okay - here's a big idea that I am confident we, the members of DIS, can make work:

What if several of us created "easy made for little kid quests" and then created a hub with teleporters each leading to a little kid quest. Prizes could be little things, but fun to get!

That would be SO cool! If others like this idea, let me know. I cannot afford another quest machine, but I will happily create the hub room with pink doors and "labels" for each "little kid" quest.

Thoughts?

Very cool idea. My sons have just blown through all my credits, so I'll have to play a lot of HM this week and pile credits back up. Ah, the sacrifices. :goodvibes

It was fun doing the kids quest yesterday. I found most of the people going through were NOT that really young, but what can you do. I gave answers to any who asked and gave prizes to any who asked. (They didn't understand the prizes were awarded when the 2 hours were over.) I will do another quest for little kids either Sunday or early this week.

On a side note, I was confounded when one girl asked me to be her "mummy", lol. After about a 30 second pause, I replied I get enough of that in real life, thank you. :lmao:

Hi,

It's 3:00 (EST) on Sunday and I did a search for "Easy Kid Quest" but nothing comes back. I'm not sure if maybe I don't know how to search properly or perhaps you are not open for business! At any rate, even though we haven't yet gotten a chance to try it, I want to thank you in advance. It is so thrilling for my daughter when she can do an activity on VMK independently!!

very good idea! i can't tell you how many times my little sister starts a quest and then asks me to finish it for her because it's too hard or she can't get a high enough score on a game! also i posted a thread, but can't find my way back to it. can someone direct me to it?
