So I have been invited to join a local book club and the meeting is tonight. It's definitely more of a mom's night out type of thing, everybody brings a drink and a snack/treat. It will be about 15 women and the host said bring anything. I am trying to get out of my rut of hot artichoke dip. I am looking for something fairly easy, I still have many kids to shuttle to various places this afternoon, any ideas? What is your go to dish? Thanks in advance for the help. :goodvibes

I like to make bacon and cheddar pinwheels. Roll out cresant roll dough in 2 or 4 sections. Sprinkle cooked bacon bits and cheddar cheese and roll up like a cinnamon roll. Slice and bake! Yummy!

My go to for everything is Pizza Dip! Spread cream cheese on a micorwave safe plate. Top with pizza sauce, chopped pepperoni, onions, bellpepper, and any pizza toppings you like. This is mix and match to what you have on hand or like. Top with cheese and microwave for 3 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Serve with crackers or scoops! Quick and easy!

Another is to take a block of cream cheese and pour either pepper jelly or any other really good jelly.

Pickle roll ups. Thin sliced deli ham, softened cream cheese and pickles. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on a slice of ham. Put a pickle on one end of the ham and roll. The slice into bite-sized pieces. Never last when we make them for a get together.

These sound good! I'm going to try it some time.

no bean chili in a can, cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese, mixed up and warmed. my sil makes it as a layered dip, but I like it mixed. serve with chips.

salami rolled up with cream cheese inside. I never make enough of these - they always go SO fast!

Shrimp Dip and Crackers:
1 8 oz. brick of cream cheese
1/4 lb. cooked shrimp, chopped into small pieces (about 12 medium shrimp)
1 jar of cocktail sauce (I used Legal Seafood’s, which you can find in the grocery store)
Assorted crackers
Parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Combine first three ingredients using an electric mixer. Chill. Serve with cracker assortment.

melt a jar of jalepeno jelly and pour over a block of cream cheese; serve with crackers on the side. Delish!!

Fry up a pack of bacon and then chop it up real small with a food chopper or food processor or something. Then mix it with some mayo. Maybe half a cup or so. Enough to make it spreadable. Then spread it onto little round slices of white bread. I cut mine out with a shot glass. Top with cherry tomato halves. It doesn't sound like much but they are delicious and always get eaten up quickly.

This is a hot appitizer, so not sure if it will work this time- but for the future here is my old stand-by...

I see you live in MA- are you familiar with Stonewall Kitchen products? They sell them in some grocery stores and The Paper Store. This literally takes less than 10 minutes and is super easy.

1/2 jar of Stonewall Kitchen Garlic and Onion Jam
1 thin Boboli pizza crust
Crumbled feta cheese

Cook according to the directions on the Boboli label (I think 8-10 minutes), cut in thin slices.

My easiest go to appetizer is marinated asparagus wrapped in Genoa salami. All you need to do is buy sliced Genoa salami from the deli, spread cream cheese on it and then wrap it around zesty marinated Asparagus tips. They are simple and people love them. If you like hot then use hot Genoa Salami. I buy the asparagus spears in a jar so they are all ready marinated.

Buy a bag of frozen meatballs, jar of grape jelly and a jar of heinz chili sauce.

I throw everything in a crock pot but you could heat up the jelly and chili sauce, coat the meatballs, then bake.

its an odd combo, but really tastes amazing. its a must at every party now.

I was going to suggest the same thing, only we spread ranch dressing on first, then sprinkle with bacon bits, cheese, and chopped green onions before rolling up.

1 pound of loose italian sausage (hot or sweet)
1 can Rotele
1 8 oz bar cream cheese

Cook sausage until no pink remains. Drain sausage and combine with rotele tomatoes and cream cheese. Heat until cream cheese and all ingred. are mixed well. Serve hot with Scoops.

Everyone loves this one!

I do something similar except I add chopped green onion to the bacon and mayo and stuff the cherry tomatos with the mixture....

This is my favorite hot appetizer ever....

1 lb any flavor Bob Evans Roll Sausage
1 8 oz brick of cream cheese
4 cans of small rerfigerated biscuits

brown and drain sausage, mix in cream cheese. place small spoonfuls for mixture into flattened dough rounds, pinch together and bake according to biscuit package directs. (I use a muffin tin to keep the balls into place)

Makes almost 40 of them and they reheat pretty well...

Favorite quick snack that everyone loves!!!

1 or 2 bags of rolos (depending on how many you want to make)
1 bag of small pretzels
pecan halves for each rolo/pretzel

lay pretzels on baking sheet, place in oven for about 2 minutes until chocoloate looks glossy.

Place pecan half on top and press down to squish pecan, to rolo, to pretzel. Mock Turtles! Always a hit.

You can put them in the fridge to firm back up quicker, too.

Another one...

Pretzel squares (waffles)
hershey's hugs

lay out pretzel waffles on baking sheet. bake in oven until chocolate is glossy..about 2 minutes.

press 2nd waffle pretzel on top to make a sandwich.

But my all time favorite is any beer bread and dip mix from a certain company that I sell for, but won't name. I am teaching a class tomorrow and we are having a loaf of beer bread cubed, with 2 different dips. quick, easy, and always a hit!
