I saw this movie with my daughters tonight and I thought it was wonderful!!! Great story, fantastic cast, and a really smart, well wrtitten, funny and emotionally involving movie. Just loved it!

Have you seen it? What did you think?

I want to, but I will wait until the inital rush to see it is over. I hate crowded movie theatres full of people eating and talking... I stayed in a hotel on my honeymoon where you could pay $15 and order up the movies on pay per view that were currently in the theatres. I wish I could do that at home!!!

I'm glad to hear a good report about it though!

I saw it with my 14 yo DD this morning. I was pleasantly surprised. It gave us a lot to talk about on the way home. Lisa Kudrow character was odd though. It really did not seem to fit in, to me, with the rest of the movie.

That's one of the things I liked so much about it, though - that unpredictable part of the plot I just didn't see coming. Not at all where a stereotypical teen chick flick would have gone.

LOVED Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson as Olive's parents!!!!!! Really liked Thomas Hayden Church as the English teacher. Hated Amanda Bynes - does she have a real face under all that makeup? Ick - she was too over the top in this movie for me. So was the best friend Rhiann - I disliked her character.

I really loved Emma Stone and hope she has a wonderful career ahead of her.

I loved the premise of the movie and it was very funny and smart - especially the dialogue of the parents!!:rotfl:

I second most of what the other posters said. I saw it last night with my DD 14, very good story, brought home a situation involving an entry on Facebook and how lies can come back to hurt you. I LOVED Olive's parents, which I had parents like them!

I saw it earlier tonight. It was pretty good and well written. The only weak part of the movie was Lisa Kudrow's character. I agree with another poster she didn't fit into the role.

I saw it earlier tonight. I liked it. Thought the parents and the adopted kid were hysterical. I also liked the musical number towards the end - very Ferris Bueller-ish.

I saw it on Friday with my DD - it was Great! :thumbsup2 Like previous posters - I LOVED Olive's parents! They were wonderful together... On the way home, we talked about gossiping and rumors and innuendo - it was a great conversation. I also told her about the other movies referenced - Breakfast Club - Say Anything - Can't Buy Me Love - 16 Candles - can't wait to rent them and watch them again!

I - like previous posters could have done without the Lisa Kudrow character.

Anyone else glad that instant messaging and texts didn't exist when THEY were in High School?!? Our gossip had to be spread the good old fashioned way!

Saw it last night and loved it. Loved the flashbacks to the 80's movies. I agree with all of you about Lisa Kudrow's character. It was like watching Phoebe from Friends.

Just saw this movie with DD16 today. As you mentioned, it was a great conversation starter. I have always told my daughter to be careful what you text, post, or say about others. "Words, like friends, should be chosen with care"!! She knew what the John Hughes movies were, because she has seen them with me.. loved the Breakfast Club:)

Saw it opening night with my DD13. We both loved it ! It's been a long time since there has been a teen movie that you can watch more then once without getting sick of it.

Saw it with my and lDD 13 and her school friend I loved it - but did ya catch what was the "moving" gift from her first??? That part was gratefully over my DDs head or at least I think it was ;)

I don't remember what you are referring to - could you be a little more specific?

I read in a review somewhere that there was a twist at the end - can someone tell me what it was? I won't be seeing it in the theater.

I saw it -- used the free ticket that the theater gave me when they started playing a Stallone film instead of Eclipse.

I thought it was distracting whenever they cut to her standing in front of the webcam. But other than that, I did like it.
