I am taking a seven day cruise leaving October 5 to the Eastern C. and I am unsure about what excursions to do while in St. Thomas/St. John. We have no children with us just two adults. Any suggestions?

We did the Charlotte Amalie walking tour. It was interesting, and a nice day if you don't want to go to the beach. It's actually only about a 2 hour tour, woth two hours for shopping afterwards, so you would have time to do taht and the beach if you wanted.

We liked it as we got a taste of the history of the island.

If you do it, be prepared. There are stairs. Luckily you walk down all but a few, but this is not a good tour if you are mobililty impaired, and not at all accessible. Also, at one point you will stop by a bunch of trees and there will be iguana's in them, they sometimes pee and poop out of the branches. I got "christened" by one.

We did the Chmpagne Catamaran over to St. John (Honeymoon Beach). It was fantastic. Great boat, crew, beach, snorkeling, food, DRINK, etc. We loved it!

hi, we did the eastern 7 day last year and are repeating it over new year's this year. we did the golden eagle catamarran on st. martin which was fabulous and did the snorkel trip to trunk bay at st. john. st. john is not to be missed and trunk bay is one of the most photographed and beautiful beaches in the world. it has an underwater national park with snorkeling trail. this time we plan the kayaking excursions on both islands since we have taken up kayaking recently. we also were considering the champagne catamarran tour. barb

Thanks for the suggestions. I was torn between doing the snorkel trip at Trunk Bay and the Doubloon sail and snorkel which goes to Buck Island. I have heard that Buck Isalnd is very nice and that schooner looked so cool.:) :D

We did the St. John eco hike last year. It was very informative and we got to spend time at Honeymoon beach after the hike.

See? No wonder I love this board! Where else can you get the real poop on excursions? ;)

Thanks for letting us know, Anne. I am excursion shopping as well, so was naturally drawn to this thread.
