Eastern Pirate Night Schedule Question

Ok, I'm not positive about this, but isn't Pirate Night on the Eastern the night after St. Martin? If so, isn't it the next day, St Thomas, you have to go (very early in the morning) and prove your citizenship with your passport/birth certificate. My question is why does DCL schedule it for that night? With having extra days at sea, why don't they do it on a night when everyone can sleep in and not feel rushed? We are morning people, so I really feel sorry for late sleepers. Also, my kids go to bed rather early, and I definitely don't want them to miss Pirate Night. As far as going back to bed after the citizenship thing, my kids won't go back to sleep once they are up. It could be a grumpy/sleepy day.

Yes it is early, but isn't there a one hour time change in ST. Thomas to compensate?

We cruised last week (8th-15th) and was told that the captain must slow the ship down for the fireworks and that is the only day the schedule allows! The show is awesome-don't miss it!

Same thing we were told also, on the Nov 27th cruise. Fireworks started just before 11 that night. Late but its wroth staying up for :wave:

I'm sorry to crash this post, but I every day I learn about something new regarding the Magic cruises!

We've only been on DCL once, and it was a 4-night Wonder. Don't get me wrong, we LOVED that cruise! It was the most relaxing, luxurious vacation either of us has ever taken! :love:
