I have no idea what I did on this morning! Probably more Goofy pool with the twins...I do remember that I needed to bingo at 11! Because the jackpot was over $3500, and today was the last day, they expected a bigger crowd and moved Bingo from Diversions to the Walt Disney Theater. There was a good sized, good natured crowd, but alas, no Jackpot winner...which meant another round this afternoon!!!
I joined the family back at the pool (was about to report DH joined Hannosmom and her DH for a tour of the bridge, but he reminded me that was on St. Thomas day) We had received an invitation to join our DIS crowd for a dinner at Palo's that night, and took the children to the matinee of Disney Dreams. Another quality Disney show! Great effects (especially considering we're in a ship's theater!). Okay, I think I shed some sentimental tears by the end!
TIP: Matinees are a great way to see the evening spotlight shows, especially if you have evening plans or children who are tired by 8pm every night!
Ah, another benefit to going to the matinee...I bought my Bingo card for the 4pm game on the way into the show!
Last bingo at 4pm. Huge crowd. DS7 came with me, promising to be good (he was!). Jackpot was over $4000. Multiple winners in the first few games. Then came the "4 Corners" game. I sweat it out, waiting for just one number for what seemed like forever, and then "BINGO!!!!"
I jumped out of my seat, shouting Bingo whilst in a state of shock (was this really me practically jumping onto the stage?!). It was legit! I won $600!!! Hooray!!!! (covered my tips for the week! whew!)
What fun! I didn't win the jackpot, but was satisfied! Congrats to the big winner(s)!
TIP: To ease the pain of the cruise coming to the end, I recommend you win at bingo.
Time to get the family ready for dinner - Semi Formal "Captain's Gala" at Animator's Palate. DH and I had only an appetizer (and just maybe some dessert), as we would be dining later at Palo's. And, I didn't mention the bingo win until halfway thru dinner (since DH hadn't asked!), but couldn't keep it a secret any longer!
The boys went to the Club/Lab (Flubber night for the twins) while we went to our Palo's party. We had a private room there, with HouseofPrincesses, KYCruiseCrazy and KYCruisinSusan, GrayFal and DH, Hannosmom and DH and DSIS. And, best of all, we had the famous Sasha as our server! He really lived up to his reputation, bringing out several extra dishes each course for us all to sample and share. Yummmm. Wish I was there now!!! Lovely pizzas, beef tenderloin, souffle, I can't remember it all! Maybe I'll eat there every night next time!
What fun to share that dinner with our "old" friends from the DisBoards! We all talked and laughed and had a grand time!
How lucky we were to meet such a fun-loving and interesting group!
We shuffled out of Palo's past 11:30 and rounded up the twins. DS12 wanted to go to the dessert buffet, so off he went. I was looking forward to the Dessert Buffet since I booked this cruise 7 months ago, and now, stuffed from a week of eating, I couldn't even bring myself to go look at it!!! Now, I didn't feel too sorry for myself; KYJohn had left Palo's early to go take pictures of the buffet, so I'll vicariously eat my way through it as soon as he posts those pics!!! (HINT HINT John!) (DS did report back that he revelled in the cheesecake!).
Well, now, that was certainly a "practically perfect in every way" day!
