We just booked the Fantasy for the Eastern route and I am unsure what is a good excursion - the baths excursion is filled (online anyway) for Tortola and I am not sure what to do at St. Thomas.

For people who have taken this route before, what did you do and was it worth the $$?

We just finished the EC this past Saturday. We did go the Baths in Tortola and on St Thomas we went to Magen's Bay and it was spectacular!image.jpeg

You can't go wrong with Magen's Bay. Plenty of room for your own private spot on the beach. It's not like many other beaches where you feel like you're on top of others around you. No waves to play in, but this makes for a safe place to swim and play.

Coral World is another good excursion. They have a "submarine" ride and tour of the bay nearby plus an aquarium with some wildlife to check out.

We are going on the same cruise in December. What month is your cruise in?

I have been to St. Thomas before. We did the Champagne Catamaran to St. John. It was great. We are thinking about trying the Castaway Catamaran Snorkeling excursion this time.

For Tortola, a few of us would like to go to the baths...the others are looking into the Treasure Island Snorkeling excursion.

Sailing the EC for the first time next month. Scheduled The Baths and Magen's Bay. I'm so excited! I'm a bit nervous with it being Hurricane season so praying for good weather!

We just did both of these excursions last week! I did a trip report on here and someone asked about the Baths and I replied, with pictures! It was great, adventurous but great!

We are going in October. We presently have the St. John Champagne Cruise, but I didn't hear lots of good things about it. Which lead me to the post. I am not sure if its feasible to do Magen's Bay or some other beach on our own and make it back in time. ;-)

Totola - I would do the baths except it isn't available online. I was hoping there were other suggestions and reviews. I am searching though.

I want to say that most of our cruises have been September/October. We have never run into any problems, and so I think you will be fine. They move away from bad weather for the most part.

How old are the people you are travelling with? We took a cab to Megans Bay and it was great! In Tortola we did the Rib Boat Adventure....it was FANTASTIC. It is not for small children.

Both very grown people. LOL How much was a cab to Megan's Bay and was it hard to find one to return back?

Is half-day Baths available (no lunch)? I thought half-day was perfect.

We did the Doubloon Turtle Cove Sail and Snorkel in St. Thomas.

The champagne catamaran was our most favorite excursion we have ever done. We just did this last month. Absolutely fabulous and would do it again!

I heard a lot about the crew pushing for tips... I do believe to the point that one cruiser reported it when they returned to the ship. I was just a bit concerned that it would interfere with having a good time. Can you give me some information about the excursion?
