Eastern Caribean Excursions

Going on Jewel of the Seas Nov. 27-Dec. 4. San Juan, St. Croix, St. Marten, Dominic, Barbados, Grenada. Anyone that has visited these places, what were the must see things to do and did anyone do trips outside of the boats ones? Some of these islands, the cheapest excursion is $100 a person.

In St. Martin, we just caught a cab and hired the driver for the day. He gave a tour of the island (Feeding iguanas, Orient bay, Grand Case, Marigot, Maho Beach, and finally some shopping at a small "straw market" near the ship). For six of us, including tip, we paid $180. Lunch was extra ($55 total at Grand Case).

While in St.Croix, the ship will dock at Frederiksted, but the main town is Christiansted which is 17 miles away. Cabs and tour guides will be at the cruise port.

The pier in the second picture can be used as a jumping off point into the water. The water is ~12 feet at that point (about where the three boys are).
