Eastern Caribbean Jan 28-Feb 5

Crazy Tesia on formal night. It was Seventies themed night at Rockin' Bar D.

The next morning I was up from 4 am. Not too sure why, perhaps excitement or perhaps drinking too late in the evening? In any case, I was up and (literally) running from about 6:30.

I forgot to mention in my previous post about room service. We hung the little card out each night and each morning after our room service wake up call, it was at our door within a few minutes. I have noted here in my crib notes, that this morning's coffee was not as hot as it should have been. I have since forgotten, so I'm sure it wasn't that big of an upset! We also ordered chocolate chip cookies and wine glasses every evening before dinner. We never did order up a Mickey Bar!

I would imagine that morning after my run, I must have gone to fetch coffee on Deck 9 because I've noted meeting William.
What a sweetheart he was! He was the morning/afternoon and most evening re-stocker of the drink stations. I never once saw William without a lovely smile, nor a word of encouragement. Can you imagine doing that job every day and staying as happy as he? We can all learn something from William. :)

I will also mention, at this time about the cleanliness of the ship. Being out on deck 4 in the early morning, I noticed that this is when they clean the windows on the doors that lead to Deck 4, as well as all the Plexiglas on the railings. They "swab the decks" regularly and were almost always shining something. The washrooms around the ship were not only beautiful, but always clean.

One comment for those who haven't cruised on the Magic: be careful in the Deck 9 pool washrooms! The floor is wet for obvious reasons and while you'd like to have your shoes/flip flops on-they are almost a hazard! As well, those early morning deck swabbings leave the deck 10 boardwalk like a sheet of ice. I saw a few people taking real good spills.

The staff members at Guest Services were very helpful as well. I had to ask for a lady product so I could swim(TMI sorry) My point being to emphasize that she took the time to wrap up it in a few Disney stickers and 3 Mickey buttons to save my embarrassment on the trip back to the room! So cute!

There were many long lines for character greetings that day, but no one seemed to mind. They went fast and were offered indoors as well as at the pool. You could always count on running into a character or two in the hallway, or, as our table mate Ashley told us one night at dinner, find yourself in an elevator with Chip and Dale, who were acting naughty and banging on the glass windows!

I encouraged DD and DH to see Tron that afternoon just before our evening show, because I knew the week was flying by and they could lose the opportunity if they didn't. I was trying to see Tangled myself, but because of our dining and show times, coupled with our Palo ressies and our Alice Tea time, I couldn't find a time that I could fit that movie in. DD and DH LOVED Tron anyway! :3dglasses

I used the time laying about until sunset while watching the end of Brother Bear, then wandering through the shops, dressing for the evening show (I've forgotten the name but it involves a twist on the original Cinderella story) all before grabbing a bubbly drink at the bar and heading up to the movie theater to meet the family. (Ladies, we must use our free time wisely!)

Just heading back from the theater, we spotted Sorcerer Mickey, Pinocchio and Minnie in the atrium.

Our dinner was in the Animators Palate and we were very excited for the SHOW! We had packed black and white attire for that night and to our surprise, our table mates had done the same! The dinner was fantastic and we all agreed it was our favourite menu so far
DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERAS!!
What did we eat? Good question and good advice: write it all down!!!

The show was lovely and a little surprise at the end! Gotta love that Pixie Dust!

DD went back to her club after dinner and DH and I decided we'd head back to our room for another glass of wine and then a quick head up to the adult pool for a jacuzzi. We had the good fortune of enjoying it all to ourselves! I'll leave the rest of the evening up to your imaginations and say Goodnight! :rolleyes1

These guys worked so hard to make us happy!

From amusing and delighting our daughter with multiple desserts and napkin flowers, to checking up to make sure we liked what we were eating, to offering honest advice as what to eat, to welcoming us whenever we saw them outside the dining room, to our handshakes at the end of each meal turned to our eventual hugs after dinner. Along with our seatmates, they were a BLESSING!

They earned every penny of tip that they received.

Kudos to you Aziz and Zeljko!!!
