As for the DIS, you can navigate our thread with the numbered pages. If you get a private message, you will get a notice up in the yellow box in the top right corner. If you click on your name in the same box, it will take you to where You can customize your preferences (if you are not getting email updates, make sure you approve it. ..you may also need to check thread options near the top of the page).
With the how to's out of the way,
Let me officially welcome you.

I will be sending you an invitation to our group page in just a few minutes. Check that yellow box I was talking about. When it says you have a message, click on it. The message will open like an email.
Our group page is where we are organizing the FE info. I will add your name to the list on here (I will edit the post a few entries back), but we will still need cabin and cruiser info (there are places on the group page for this info).
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We have a great number of helpful past cruisers ready to help.

I just bought 6lbs of German chocolate. A German coworker of mine fell in love with another coworker from our Denver-Office and transferred there about a year ago. As I have a lot of room in my suitcase on the way to Denver I offered to bring a survival kit: Chocolate and a huge stack of German magazines.

Later this week I'll buy more chocolate and gummibears for the coworkers I have meetings with.

... and maybe some German chocolate for your fellow cruisers, too???

We've been to Germany twice. Our favorite treat is Manner - the hazelnut flavor that comes in a pink package. We crave it!!! I've been able to order it from Amazon a couple of times, but it's not always available.

Hi there-we need full names and stateroom numbers- or if you have joined the fb group just add yourself to the list. It won't be booked until 30 days out and then I will post the time / date and let everyone know.

Thank you Tink. My son is 17 and I think we may go to goodwill for some clothes we can Play with. Thanks for the idea.

My 17 year old is wearing a pair of tan pants (with out any pockets) that fit his waist, but his recent growth spurts (he has shot up to over 6 ft) have left them too short, A piratey shirt (you know, the ones with flaired cuffs around the wrists, and extra material around the chest (or you could have something that you can make into a low v-neck...like a muslin cloth shirt, add some button holes and use leather laces for closure), and possibly the long vest (it comes down to about the middle of his upper leg) I was talking about. Then we add the fake pirate ear ring, a skull necklace and a bandana or hat.
Plus if you are interested, we are going to be hosting a pirates lair in our cabin. We have someone who knows how to do scars, and I know how to do stubble.

First DCL cruise for us and had to wait for our 75 day mark to schedule excursions. Of coarse i logged in at 9 pm PST in hopes of getting a brunch reservation at Palo and found one available at 10 am last sea day, which I quickly selected. Unfortunately somewhere between adding to cart the DCL website timed out gave me an error message quickly went back and sure enough it was sold out!
All other days are sold out!
Is there any other possibility my husband and I can get a reservation? Is there a wait list or keep checking back for availability. Can our TA possibly help us?

Please don't despair yet. Since this itinerary has three sea days, you still have an excellent chance of scoring a Palo Brunch. Keep checking Palo availability online, especially as we get closer to sailing, in case someone else cancels their reservation.

If you still haven't secured a Palo reservation by October 2nd (the last day we can make online reservations for anything), there are three great strategies you can do that have resulted in 100% success for me!
- On embarkation day, you can go directly to Palo from 1:00-3:15pm for changes and/or new reservations, based on availability. (We have found them there as early as noon... shhhhhh!)
- Also on embarkation day, you can call Palo directly at 7-9735 from any phone onboard beginning at 3:15pm. If no one answers, leave a message with your name, cabin number, and day that you are hoping for, and they will return your call. (Just be sure to check your stateroom phone messages!)
- Anytime that Palo is open, stop by and inquire about availability.
