Vegemite is a sandwich spread that is BLACK! It is made from brewers yeast (the leftovers from making beer actually) and it is SALTY!

All Aussie kids are indoctrinated on the stuff from when they are babies and 99% love it - perfect on your toast in the mornings though you only need a tiny bit - a little goes a long way!

I know, it sounds revolting, but it is addictive - especially if you have gone overboard on the sweets and want something salty - hmmm perfect!!

I figure I am now addicted to pancakes with bacon and maple syrup through all my travels to the US, so now its time for some Aussie influence!

You'll love it - trust me

Count me in on that as an FE

2 things I crave the most (when it comes to food) are sweet and salty.
So, a new salty treat will be a delight.
Only thing is, if it is as addictive as say....Disney Cruising.....
Then we are going to have to exchange addresses so I can get regular shipments.
Tiggerb would be glad to tell you that finding ways to increase my calorie count are at the top of my list.

I know what you mean: I used to have a coworker from NZ, who flew home twice a year. He called my frequent US-trips 'puddle jumping' :rotfl:
By the way, Oz is on our future travel list, too. I got family not so far from you - in the 'Gong'


Talking about vacations: Today the travel documents for our trip to Fuerteventura arrived Eleven days to go!!!
Additionally I made a reservation for a limo to pick us up at the airport upon our return from there. We'll be picked up either by a Mercedes S-class, a BMW 7series or an Audi A8. It's so much more comfortable than a regular taxi.
To the airport we'll take the bus and the train, it's just 30 minutes from our place and we'll only have carry-on bags as we'll do an early check-in the evening before. That's a service several airlines offer at our airport for flights departing next day before 2pm. We'll just hop over to the airport after our Zumba-class (10-15 Minute drive), check in and head back home. This way we need to be at the airport about an hour before departure.

Edited to add: It looks like I'll have to fly to the US in July for business. That's gonna be a lot of bonus miles this year!!

Hello everyone! So glad I was finally able to log into this blog. We're very excited for this cruise. It will be our 2nd Disney Cruise....our 1st cruise was on the Wonder last September....California coast! The Pixar cruise was unforgettable!!! We (myself, hubby, son 7, daughter 4) had to book the Fantasy! We cannot wait. Last year we heard about the FEs but were too late to sign up to participate. I'm hoping we can get added for this cruise.
Looking forward to this vacation! "October come already!!!"

Hi everyone! I have been really quiet since letting everyone know we were taking this cruise! Mostly because we were invited to a big family trip to WDW this coming Christmas 2013 and had to wait and see if we could go (my work makes us plan a year in advance, Jan. to Dec.) Well, surprisingly we got December (I have pretty low seniority) and we have cancelled our Oct. cruise, it was one or the other! So, unfortunately we wont be joining everyone, tho it does sound like it will be a very fun cruise!

Sorry you won't be joining us, but it sounds like you have a fun trip to still look forward to.

If you have never been over the holidays before, you will love it
My favorite was the snow on main street. The fake and the real we lucked into.
Oh, and if you can get away from the parks, Celebration has some nice home town holiday events that are exciting as well.

My boss gave me an additional day off and so our vacation will start on Friday
We'll sleep in then, pack our bags after a late breakfast, attend our Zumba-class and then hop over the airport to check our bags and have a light dinner.
Saturday morning we'll then just have our carry-on and Need to be at the airport just 60 to 90 minutes before departure.
Two weeks of sunshine are just five days away
