Besides the choclate bunnies what are you kids getting or want for easter. I'm trying to think of something that will not be put down the next day and forgotten about.

Well, Mo hasn't really ASKED for anything but this is what she is getting...

3 pack of Disney story CD's (she listens to these at bedtime)
Polly Pocket Set
Wonderball
Pink Bunny Cookie from Blondie's

All in a Gymboree beach bag "basket" that she wanted.

------

Elliot is getting...

A flip phone (pretend because he loves daddy's cell phone)
A few Wiggles action figures
Blue Bunny Cookie from Blondie's

All in a big Tonka Dumptruck "basket"

I find something interesting and useful to make a basket out of every year. I'm going to run out of ideas soon. ;)

Probably a little bit of candy and some My Little Pony toys for Maddy.

We try to keep Easter simple. DS is getting a cheapie bunny parachute toy, a SpongeBob writing pad, and a $5 golf set for outside and of course some candy. Hopefully, he'll get his new baby sister before then too! ;)

DS is getting:

sunglasses (what 9 month old can't use sunglasses! :smooth: ;))
swimsuit
little blowup swimming pool
air pump for the pool (okay, this one is more for mom and dad ;))
Buzz Lightyear bubble blower

We go for his 9month checkup next Tuesday so hopefully his ped will say we can start finger foods and I may fill some eggs with cheerios.

My mom gave him his easter gifts this weekend and she included a chocolate bunny even though DS can't eat it...she says every kid needs a chocolate bunny for easter! LOL!

DS6 is getting a Ninja Turtle & candy from us; Gramma bought him another ninja turtle and more candy.

DS2 (almost 3) is getting some Viewmaster Reels of his fave Disney flicks and candy; a Zurg toy from Gramma.

The other gramma usually sends some books too.

DH was so sweet... he gave me my Easter gift today-
Hidden Mickeys: A field guide to Walt Disney's best Kept secrets.
We are leaving in a just a couple months. This will be my mission for this trip. Pictures of the mickeys!!! :earseek:

Now what to get the little ones?

The traditionally candy for both kids and then my daughter wants Bratz dolls and Plis she will get a gold cross necklace and my son is getting a bike (my daughter got hers last easter) and some guns.

DS hasn't asked for anything for Easter, I suppose the thought never occurred to him.

In his basket he will find Spy Kids 3D, the new Magic Tree House book, a chocolate rabbit, a small stuffed dog, chocolate eggs, gummy coke bottles and some kinder eggs (chocolate eggs with toys inside). And since we live in Italy and the kinder eggs are their thing here, he is getting a big one that has a cast iron Ferrari (little bigger than match box size) inside.

Wait... people give gifts now for Easter? It would never occur to me to ask for anything, either! The whole gift overload thing is what ruined Christmas for me; I see people are starting to do the same with Easter. :(

My kids will get he usual candy and probably a movie for each of the girls. My DS(almost 20) will get a chocolate bunny and Dunkin Donut gift certificates. We try to keep Easter simple.

Ditto!

I think the only "gifty" thing my mom ever put in my easter basket was a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss...and a TON of candy!

maybe a CD one year...but never anything 'big'...under $20 most likely.

I am looking forward to my Easter college care package.
Don't know what's in it but that is always the best...complete surprise :)

We always got easter gifts as children and I continue the tradition in our household. Our son will probably get some candy, a video game and a book or two.

Just another commercialized holiday. Kids nowadays treat Easter like Christmas. They keep wanting more and more. Mine get a little bit of candy, some coloring books or craft stuff, and this year DS is getting the "Brother Bear" DVD. I guess once they quit believing in the Easter bunny I can quit going overboard!!

My kids are each getting a summer outfit, some candy, and the DVD of Brother Bear to share.

We never got Easter gifts, but I usually put one gift in my kid's baskets with a little bit of candy. This year the younger one will get Brother Bear on DVD, and the older one a gameboy game. We always make a big deal out of the Easter egg hunt, my parents emphasized this as well when we were kids. This year however we will be in Williamsburg, so I'm not sure how we'll handle the hunt in our hotel room.

I agree with Doc Rafiki. My children do not get gifts from us or extended family, they get Easter baskets with candy and we dye eggs the night before and have a big Easter dinner with family. They always tell me what their friends get and I just think its outrageous. Yes, I could afford to do it, I just choose not too. It is turning into another Christmas for a lot of people but not at my house. To each his own I guess.
