i'm traveling to wdw from holy thursday to easter monday...i still haven't booked a flight yet in hopes the prices would come down...but it's getting to be like 6 months out and I don't want to wait anymore...my preference is jetblue but it's $517 RT (not really what i wanted to spend)...i will be flying from the NYC area to MCO...what kind of prices are others getting from JFK/LGA/EWR/ISP to MCO for this time? thanks

The prices will NOT be coming down. We go every year at this time and I buy our tickets almost the day they become available about 330 days out. They are usually pretty cheap for a few days and they go up from there and continue to rise, maybe going down for a day or two, and then right back up. If you've been watching you should know if they are up or down right now, and if you should grab them as soon as they are down a little. A trick you may have luck with is to price the trip as one way tickets. Sometimes you can find better prices that way. And check in the first class tickets as well, sometimes the difference in price is only $20-30 at the price range you are in at this point. Good luck.

From my experience the only way you will find a break is if you can stay an extra day. Changing Holiday stays by 1 day can really make a difference. I know sometimes you can't but it's worth looking at if at all possible. Good luck it's a gamble either way you do it.

MermaidsMom, did you get a good price for your tickets?

Chriserbell - are flying JFK or LGA. We are leaving either late Good Friday, or 1st flight out Saturday and coming back Monday after Easter also. At Jetblue it is 299 each way. I am hoping SW will have a better airfare, but I am getting nervous about waiting so long.

I got what I consider a good price, considering what I paid last year. I was able to get first class tickets for less than I paid for economy tickets last time.
