I know the chances of me calling now and getting reservations from 4/14-4/21 are most likely out of the question. However what are you experiences from once I get down there, obviously I know I should try, but do people often times cancel? Does Disney leave x amount of spaces available still for walk ups? Let’s say I wanted to go to the luau at the Polynesian, does that have a greater chance of having availability as opposed to the restaurant?

The only way of knowing if you can is if you try.

Call 407-WDW-DINE and you may be pleasantly surprised...especially if you are flexible with your dining times.

Often times in peak seasons WDW restaurants will not accept any walk-ups.

Don't wait...call them now!

There have been other posts about this that you could read. Another poster already said that the earliest dinner time she could get for her party of 5 was like 8:50 pm for dinner. You should look at allearsnet and pick out a few choices and call disney dining right away unless you dont mind eating lots of counter service all week. I have already made a least one sit down meal adr for our trip each day for april 11-18. We usually do breakfast in the room and counter service for the other. This will be our 2nd easter trip. If you do counter service just arrive by like 11:30 for lunch and like 4:45 for dinner. The lines could be out the door from what we encountered before, especially Pecos Bill and no tables at the place in tommorrowland either. I must say my 3 ds had a huge smile on their faces when we just checked in and ate dinner at crystal palace while others were being turned away with no adrs, same thing at hollywood and vine in mgm too. Time is running out. You should make plans asap. Good luck.

I would say if you call today, you might have a shot, if your times are flexible.

FTR, I called today for Planet Hollywood on 4/15- I asked for 1 and 1:30 pm and they had both times available (just got the voucher for PH in today).

But I would call ASAP just to be safe.

I'll be there April 14-21 also and was able to make some ADRs TODAY. I made sure to be very flexible with availabilities as it's such short notice. The only thing is that I have a late dinner at Chef Mickey's one night and I'm going to try to find an earlier time. I took it anyway for now, because it's better than nothing. Definitely call them ASAP! :sunny:

I would call today and try to make a few.

This is a very, very busy time to be at Disney. Without ADR you will probably have to eat at counter serve restaurants. Even then the lines will be very long.

For our trip last Easter (Good Friday through mid week) we called about a two months ahead and got the California Grill.

Then we waited until arrival and managed to get few more by requesting them through calling Dining. We even snagged a couple walk-ins in Epcot!

Flexibility is the key and a little smiling helped too!

You'll probably be surprised how easy it is!
