Easter @ WDW

Hello all,
As im sure you will be able to tell Im new to this forum but reading all of your trip count downs and reports has inspired me to write my own for you.
Ive been visiting Orlando for 18 years since I was 10 and enjoy the planning almost as much as the holiday, although admitidly i dont plan with quite as much precision as some of the trip plans ive read lol!
This trip will be the first with my boyfriend, he has visited twice in the past, so im extra excited! At the time of booking we didnt actually realise we'd be arriving on Easter Saturday, so i was wondering if you have any advice on visiting at this time of year as its a new one on me, any suggestions would be very much apprieciated.

Hiya,

we went at the same time of year last year - early April - so can tell you the weather was ideal! Warm, not humid, great for spending all day out in with no overheating problems... however, when we went Easter itself was early (in March) so we avoided the rush - I'm sure you know it will be busy!

I would suggest signing up to something like TGM - Tour Guide Mike for the least busy park days etc - we found it worked well for us. It was a great time of year to go though..... we are sitting here going "This time last year we were......" all the time now for the next couple of weeks.

I've been twice at Easter and have had a great time both times. We spent both Easter Sundays in Magic Kingdom, the first time they closed the gates at lunch-time and it was really packed. The second trip was completely different, the park seemed nearly empty! I don't know where all the visitors were but they weren't at MK! Both Easter Sundays were equally great although we did get more rides done on the second one!

I'd suggest getting to the parks super early and also thinking about whether you want to park hop. Looking at how it has been this week (with MK closing practically every day) you wouldn't want to leave and go to another park and then not get in. I guess you could always check with guest relations before leaving the park.

That being said, I'd rather be in a crowded WDW than at work!!
