Day Two: MK & AK
Awoke early for bus to MK, CRT PS for 8:50. Arrived at 7:45, and we were let in at 8:00 sharp. Headed to castle for the rope drop, planned on doing a couple Fantasyland rides prior to PS.
Whilst waiting for the rope drop, I wandered over to the PS check-in, and they said theyd take us right away. Our PS was for 2 persons (thats all I could get on the phone), but the lady asked me if I would like to go as well. We went right in, and the castle is much more impressive than I imagined. My 5 year old DD was totally star struck, and when we walked into the dining room, there was Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Belle, and Mary Poppins. Needless to say, she was not too interested in her food she couldnt take her eyes off the princesses. It was a very magical start to the day lots of photos, our waiter Gustavo was great, and the Princesses were terrific with our little one. The food was fine not great, but certainly good quality, and plenty of it. Saw the fairy Godmother Gus & Jacque on the way out a wonderful experience!
We were out of the castle by 9:00, so we were able to do Pooh, Snow White, Buzz, the TTA, and FastPass for Splash Mountain. Waited a while for the Cinderella Castle show, but they had technical difficulties, so we headed out around 11:30 it was getting very crowded. Back to the room for a swim & nap (our 5 year old understood this was part of the deal, and she took a nice long nap every day without fail worked great!). We then headed to the Animal Kingdom at 3:00PM, and did the Wonders of Flight, Fastpass for Kali RR, walked on the Safari lots of animals, completed the Safari just in time to see the Jungle Parade it was lots of fun! We then did Dinosaur while our 5 year old and DS had dinner at Restaurantosaurus, then we joined them for the Turkey Wraptor (very good). Then we took the 5 year old on Triceratops Spin, which she loved. I tried to go on Primeval whirl, but it broke down. I wasnt too disappointed looked OK, but not that special. We found Animal Kingdom to be by far the least crowded of the parks that week.
We took it easy that night originally planned on going to Downtown Disney or the Boardwalk, but we decided to take a swim and go to bed early. Besides, the Easter Bunny had to get his baskets ready .
Day 3 Easter at EPCOT
Awoke at 6:00, and yes, the Easter Bunny had arrived! He brought 4 Disney themed baskets with lots of candy & trinkets. Our 5 year old was very excited, the teenagers were very good sports. We needed to hustle to get ready for Easter Mass made it to the Contemporary at 7:50. Parking was quite efficient. Mass was done by 8:50, but it took quite a while to exit the Contemporary parking lot. Arrived EPCOT at 9:20, and it was open! Hustled to Test Track, already a 70 minute wait! Fastpasses were being given out by CMs at the kiosks you didnt have to even put your ticket through the machine you just told him how many you needed, and he gave them to you! We got an 11:20 time, and headed over to Cranium Command (a fantastic, very underrated show), and Body Wars (overrated). Then to Ellens Universe of Energy very entertaining (our 5 year old was very hesitant to go on this but it ended up being one of her favorite attractions). Then it was time for Test Track, and with the FP, still took about 15 minutes. We then decided to head out, as it was nearly noon, and we wanted to stick with our pool/nap plan. We returned to EPCOT at 2:55 for a 3PM Ice Cream social at the Garden Grille in the Land. Waited about 10 minutes, and were treated to a very unusual but generous sundae the kids all loved it. Outstanding Characters here Pluto, Chip & Dale, and Farmer Mickey. They spent lots of time fooling around with the teenagers (especially Pluto), and were great with the youngin. The teenagers returned to the room (they had stayed after Test Track) while we continued on to the Land ride, the to the World Showcase. We stopped into Mousegear to get a Passport for DD, and she loved this! She was on a mission from God to get every stamp from every country as soon as possible. Very tiring for us, but she accomplished her mission by 7:30! Started in Canada and ended in Mexico, with a short break for the Tapestry of Dreams parade in Germany (she didnt want to stop for the parade at first, but then she got caught up in it!) We then headed to UK for some fish & chips, and though we thought we might stay for Illuminations, we fizzled out on the park bench as we ate our food. It was a wonderful day, and we didnt want to push our little one too hard besides, we could come back .
Day 4: MGM Studios
Got to sleep a little later today arrived at MGM at 8:00 sharp and the park was open! Teenagers & I rushed to Fast pass RnR and ToT while mom & DD#1 did the GMR. We did ToT first (about 20 minute wait, and walked right on to RnR with FP). Both of these rides are fantastic and worth waiting for, but their location creates a huge bottleneck. All FPs were sold out by 11:00 that day! Met up with the rest of the gang at the hat at 9:30, and we got in line for Playhouse Disney. This has got to be the MOST IMPROVED show in WDW. If you dont leave this show smiling, check your attitude. It was so much fun seeing all the kids dancing with their parents. We then did Muppets (a great show!), the backlot tour, the Honey I Shrunk the kids play area. It was getting towards 12 again, so, back to the hotel! Our 5 year old took a very long nap until almost 4:30, which was good because we planned on the second Fantasmic Show. We did the Hunchback show first (DW liked it, but the rest of us thought it was painful), and by the end of it people were leaving in droves. Next did Star Tours with FP, then a quick bite at ABC Commissary. Not a great selection, and food was just so-so. We then did the animation tour, which we all liked very much, and walked through One Mans Dream very nice. We then got in line for Fantasmic around 8:45 got perfect seats in the third row dead center. We even got DS to admit that he liked the show!! This is an awesome show, but a little intense for small kids. Got home by 11:00, tired, but a good day!
Day 5: R & R!!!
Golf for Dad at the Magnolia (a very forgiving, fun course for the average player), Downtown Disney for Mom & girls, computer games for DS.
That night, DW and I went to the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk outstanding! Mike, our waiter did a fine job (he looked like Kramer from Seinfeld), and the Potato wrapped Snapper and grilled Salmon are highly recommended! Also start out with the crab cake appetizer. Excellent!
We then went through the International Gateway to EPCOT for Illuminations. A wonderful show, and a great date for us the teenagers came through as babysitters for us.
