Easter Park Hours

We are going for the first time during Easter break. My sister is a school teacher and we figured this instead of the summer. Never do AK in August again.

Well, the WDW web page does not have hours posted yet for April.

I hear the busier times of year have more fireworks and parades and longer hours.

Can someone from past trips give me an idea of what to expect for park hours?

my dw is also a school teacher and we are trying out the week leading up to easter as well this year. We're bracing ourselves for pretty heavy crowds, but think it can be manageable with early entry and the longer hours. I checked last years hours for the week of easter. I can't of the name of the site right this minute, but they went something like this:

MK8am-11pm(midnight on fri & sat)
epcot: fw 9:00-7:00 ws 11:00-9:00
mgm: 9:00-9:00
AK: 8:00-6:00

The two weeks surrounding Easter have always had extended hours. However, beginning 2001 Disney started reducing the hours somewhat and then they were reduced even more last year. In past (before budget cuts), MK went to midnight every night, MGM to 11, Epcot to 9 (and sometimes 10), and AK to 7:30. As you can see from times given above, last year was not as good. Moreover, MK usually has two parades a night (which I believe based on hazy recall was still true last year) and MGM had two Fantasmics (which I believe last year was cut to one for most nights).

I know there are grad nights around that time, though I don't have the actual dates yet. Anyone?

Thanks for the feedback. I just was wondering what to expect.

We like to go early for a bit. Go back to the resort and relax. Then go back at night.

When we go during value season, the parks close so early. What do you do if you are not a Pleasure Island kind of person and the MK closes at 7. Yikes.
