We are thinking about going to HH at Eastertime in 2005. Easter is early next year, falling at the end of March. We love HH in the summer, and were wondering what the last week of March would be like.

So...

1. What is the weather typically like at that time?

2. Are most of the places around the island open, or is it still considered "off-season"?

3. Can you go crabbing off the pier, or is it too early? This kept my DS busy for hours last summer, and I think he would be disappointed if we went and he couldn't go crabbing!

We're trying to decide what would be better for us. The nice thing about March is the lower points; we could actually get a 3 BR and take someone along. If we decide against March, we will definitely go back in the summer (2005). Anyone have any info that might help us decide? Thanks!

I am not sure about the weather the end of March, but I will. We will be there soon and you can always email me if I don't post a trip report when we return. I am hoping for good weather! Shorts for the day and maybe pants and long sleeves for nights. We will bring a light weight jacket, just in case.

Late March will find temps in the upper 60's to mid 80's. The ocean will still be too cool to enjoy, but the pool is heated and will be great.

All services and activities will be in full swing. The island is an attraction for families at Spring Break and the local economy gears itself for this timeframe as a buildup to their BUSY summer season.

Crabbing is a great resort activity and March is no different! (It will certainly give them something to enjoy whether the crabs are active or not!! ;) )

March is a great time at HH. ( ... But, so is, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, January and February)
