Easter Egg Hunts

Yes there are. You will not find any info about them till the last minute. We did a candy crawl 2 years at POFQ. It was lots of fun and we left with a TON of candy.

Last year we stayed at PORS and they had an egg hunt in boatwirghts restaurant. It was AWFUL.. they hid eggs in and around the tables and we were trampled by mobs of people...for 8 vanilla tootsie rolls.. SOOO not worth the time IMHO.

I go very year during Easter and the bunny visits us there. I really don't feel like my DD needs MORE candy. This year I plan on doing an egg hunt in our room at AKL. I can put money in the eggs and a bit of candy I know she will like.

I am sure AKL lodge will have something for the holiday for the kids ... but I am not counting on it.

That's what I would suggest - a hunt in your room. I know it might be difficult with the little one in there but maybe one parent could take the child out while the other one sets things up.

Many communities are cancelling Easter egg hunts because of the huge crowds and the combatativeness of not the kids but the parents. Personally, I would do the plastic eggs and create your own magic rather than have it influenced by others.
