Easter egg antenna topper woes

Someone has just stolen my sister's Easter Egg/Mickey antenna topper. Must have just walked right up and pulled it off in front of our house. Can you believe it?

In all the times she's had an antenna topper - 2 yrs in total - and several changes later, not one of them has been stolen until now. Now I'm thinking she probably won't put other ones on her car. I'm telling her to take mine, as I probably won't use it. For one, the ariel's too thick and secondly the topper is a little too feminine - cute, but feminine. We also brought home a USA mickey one, and a Canadian Mickey one - to signify our ambition to emigrate. I'm afraid to attempt to put anything on the car in case it's stolen.

Do you think it's worth ordering another one from the official merchandise email address?

We also bought magnetic bumper stickers. We figured that people wouldn't figure out that they were just magnetic - but now I'm even thinking about not putting them on.

Am I just being paranoid and what is society coming to?

You're not the only one feeling paranoid.

I had some of the US Mickey Ariel toppers sent by MouseShopper but haven't put them on our Smart yet as I'm a bit worried as to what the locals might do as they are the starts and stripes ones. I was a bit foolish, I should have got a plain black one too so I could put that on until things had quietened down a bit.

Oh well, I suppose I'll have to get one in 7 weeks time!!

Oh John - that's awful for your sister I know it's easy for me to say this but I wouldn't let the thieves get you down. Stand firm and get that antenna on and see what happens. And I would also put the magnetic bumper stickers on as long as they're not too thick will these thieves have the brains to work it out

It does start to get you a little paranoid.

Hey Des aren't we with the Stars and Stripes - you know all that up the coalition and it would look good on a "Smart" car .

As you can both see I obviously live in a fantasyland and think that no-one could be so awful to steal these things.....bless

We are behind the stars and stripes thing, but I wonder about a few others and our Suzie Smart is only a few weeks old so don't want to put temptation in anyones way.

Thats a horrible thing to happen to your sisters topper I have the magnetic bumper sticker and nothing has happened to that yet

We have two magnetic flags that we put on our rear doors when we get ready to go out.
When we get to our destination, we take them off of the doors and put them on our seats. When we get back to the car to go again, we put them back on the car and go!

We did lose one, but it seems that I didn't make sure that it was totally on before we left the house. Luckily we had a second set, but not as nice as the first set.

Nobody's taken our antenna topper yet though, and we've had it since right after 9/11.

I had superglued my Minnie Mouse (topper #4!) on to my car, but having got me a new car last Saturday and being a bit precious about it still (DD get your sticky fingers OFF THE GLASS ), not glued it on . . . yet.
