Easter Discount - Saved $677.00

I am so excited that they opened up the blackout dates for Easter week. We are going 3/31-4/8 staying at POR with DDP and 7 day hoppers (2 adults and 3 kids).

I called and had 2 choices of discounts - $500 gift card or 25% off room (which we took because it refunded us $677).

If you check the website it still has the dates as blackouts but if you click on the link anyway it will apply the discount for that week.

When I called the CM knoew exactly what I was talking about and quickly refunded me the $$$.

That is super, congratulations It certainly pays off to keep checking for discounts and paying attention to the website and also to DIS, of course

I know DIS is great - there is nothing on the WDW website - it still states blackout dates.

Of course a fellow DIS found the deal - Way to go DIS.

Cloud Nine all day!!! DH is soooo happy! He didn't believe me at first...he hasn't been that surprised in a long time. I had to pick his mouth up off the floor

I am staying on a 4 night package with dining Easter week at POFQ, can I get the 30% discount off the room portion? Or would I have to switch to a room only, and not get dining? Thanks.

we r going April 3 - 9...staying at POR....QSD....we originally had 4 day tickets....we now have 7 days (added 3 more days of tickets) and getting a refund of $460.02....can I say WHOOOOHOOOOOOO......

No mam they did not charge me $50 fee...I saved plus ADDED 3 more days of tickets(STILL SAVED from original ressie)...we are so happy ...

Thanks for the clarification on AB. When you have 5 people in a room (2 adults and 3 children all over 3 years old) alligator bayou is the only option at POR. They will not allow 5 people to stay in the mansions.

This will be our 4th trip to POR. We love it.

Thanks for checking. WDW is very firm about not allowing more people in a room than capicity allows. I would love to try a different moderate resort some time but with a family of 5 POR is the only option unless we want to pay for 2 rooms.

I had a very nice lady jump through hoops to get me the refund. From what I understand there must be a room available exactly what you currently have to get the reservation changed to the code that you are wanting to use. After awhile we were able to change to a preferred room and still get a refund to the cc we used for the reservation that is enough to cover the roundtrip gas prices

Alligator Bayou section....This is the only section that has the trundle beds for the 5th person....

Are you getting free QS Dining or have you heard of people getting it with a special pin that they received during the week we are goin to be there?

I am so frustrated, I currently am booked at Pop for 3/26 - 4/5. I have the $300 gc, but when I go on Disney's site, it gives me a price that is $529 cheaper. I booked through Dreams, my agent is out of town so I emailed the agent covering for her. I would really like to have that discount, even if I give up the gc, I'd save over $200 with what appears to be a 25% room discount. I hope hear back in the morning and I wish my agent would have looked into this before she left town today.

sadly, many agents are NOT up on disney...have never been or have little knowledge about all the ins/out/changes disney makes, its why we Never book thru a TA, sorry, TA's out there, they have to be really "specified" disney bookers to get my business. Too many stories of exactly what you are stating. I just read a thread where an agent switched a resort and then the original sold out (she did not even want the change) and that client was STUCK taking the new place...talk about frustrating...CALL first thing today ,and call back again, anyone can look into it for you, you should not be on the losing end IMHO.

This is exactly why I never use a travel agent.
