Easter crowds

Is it busier the week before or the week following Easter? We want to avoid the crowds!

We were there last year at Easter. We stayed a few days before and a few days after Easter. The crowds were incredible. So much that my son and husband stayed at the hotel most of the time. My daughters and I did go to the parks but it was crowded!!!!! Good luck

I honestly don't think you will avoid the crowds either week. In my experience the parks are very crowded those weeks, some of the busiest days all year.

We went the week after Easter 2006 and the crowds were reasonable. It was actually quite enjoyable because we were expecting crazy crowds. I told this to my friend so they went the week after Easter 2007 and ended up with extreme crowds.

So I guess that it doesn't only depend on the week but also the year. Have fun

I think the "special" resort rates (ie most expensive!) are in effect for the week before and the week after Easter - so that must mean that Disney expects tremendous crowds before AND after.

We will be there for part of the week AFTER Easter and I'm planning on crowds galore.

We were there last week on Easter Sunday and the 6 days after (that's when our Spring Break is). I was expecting the crowds to be horrible.... I was pleasantly surprised.

Since my kids (DD is 6, DS is 4) get up early (around 6:30 am), we stayed on schedule and were at the parks as soon as they opened. We got a lot done before 11 am. After that, Epcot, AK, and MGM were still okay. On the MK days, we went back to the hotels in the afternoon and napped/played in the pool. Luckily, we planned to do that so we weren't frustrated. The crowds in MK- especially FantasyLand- were huge but not as bad as I expected.
