:wave: Hi, Molli. Confession is good for the soul and it is liberating to say the least. We are all going to have days where we eat more than what we should and more of what we shouldn't, but kudos to you for recognizing it and stopping where you were! Here is the meatball recipe, they really are pretty tasty. I usually double it for a big gathering and put them in the crockpot to stay warm once they are cooked.

Spicy BBQ Meatballs

POINTS® Value: 1
Servings: 30
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 25 min
Level of Difficulty: Easy

Keep the calories low in this popular hors d'oeuvre by making the meatballs with ground turkey instead of ground beef and by using fat-free barbecue sauce.

1 1/2 pound lean ground turkey
1 cup uncooked quick oats
2 medium egg white(s)
1 large onion(s), finely chopped
1 medium garlic clove(s), chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp beef bouillon granules
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine all ingredients, except barbecue sauce, in a medium-size bowl; mix well.

Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Shape meatball mixture into sixty 1-inch balls; place on baking sheet.

Bake at 350ºF until cooked through, about 25 minutes. Transfer meatballs to a chafing dish or crockpot to keep warm.

Meanwhile, heat barbecue sauce over medium-high heat until hot. Pour sauce over cooked meatballs, toss gently and serve. Yields 2 meatballs per serving.

o2bacelt, lucky you getting the winter weather....we were supposed to, but we are so close to the shore line we saw 30 minutes of snow and the rest was rain. Hope you didn't get too much ice as it can be tricky to get around.

Octoberbride03, mousemgr2 and barbnbrian congratulations on your losses!

Kamy, .5 really isn't big in the grand scheme of things, so hang in there. I have always found to have a better loss the week following a gain so maybe next week will be a great one!

believe, good for you for journaling, it really makes a difference!

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

:wave2: morning all -- i was hoping for a snow day here today but the snow missed us apparently. DD up and getting ready for school, i have a few mins before taking her.

i did well yesterday, did not get my workout in, it was 7 p.m. before we got home from the grocery, i was tired and hungry. had a OP dinner. woke up feeling puffy and for some reason decided to sneak WI. i rarely do that, why today when i felt puffy and i was up 1.8 lbs from wed! :crazy2: i will visualize that readout this weekend when the social eating tempts me:scared:

I always buy the unsalted tortilla chips but am trying to expand into healthier no-preservative type foods around my house, thanks to Dr. Oz. how did the weather hit you?

debbie -- you are most welcome for the pep talk it was all true! and thanks for the meatball recipe too.

mikamah -- great job on the journaling! being truthful with ourselves is hard, i know! i did buy Mich Ultra for Sunday, i'm not even sure this will be a beer drinking crowd, but now i have it. and definatley a veggie platter will be made!

mousemgr -- WTG on a loss for you!! SUCCESS!!

kamy -- i'm here too -- struggling. up and down still up overall. frustrated but determined. kamy you can do this! your boys need a healthy mom! :hug:

i will go to FC today too! hang in there gals -- the weekend temptations are before us!!:grouphug:

I only did about 1.5 miles of Leslie Sansome...just couldn't get into it. I went to the couch and was out within minutes. I did to the 8min extreme TaeBo this morning. My next workout is scheduled for Saturday, weights and cardio.

ohMom...I just have to get over this. Even today I feel 'blah". Not sure if it is PMS, stress or both.

I did journal the last 4 days, but today totally lost it. I was picking and couldn't stop. I'm definitely in the pms club, and hoping it passes quickly. Tonight is another night that I say "tomorrow is the day I will stick with it." I'm going to add some exercise too. We are going to visit my bro and fam this weekend, and my sister in law and I usually get out for an early morning walk, and I'm going to start walking after work again starting monday. I need to earn all those extra points I've been eating.

Congrats to all who have lost, and all who are hanging in there. We can do it!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Hey there!

DD and I are home from the mall. We had a good time. DH stood us up so we had a good time teasing him on the phone about spending his money as consolation. :)

We hit Macy's (there are two in the same mall here because they just bought out another chain) and they were clearing out a lot of their kids clothing, DD needed some new things since she's out grown quite a bit of it. It was fantastic to find shirts and pants for $2-$4, and I got her a couple of other pieces for $6-$8. Can't beat it.

We also went to Build-A-Bear because DD has been doing her chore chart (it's basically a wake up and bedtime routine) so we promised her a treat and that's what she wanted. She had a $10 cert. from our points so she had a blast, she got the red Valentine's Bear. She hasn't let go of him since we picked him up.

Molli, I'm so glad that TJs opened a store closer to us, I was getting tired of driving 45 minutes to the closest one (everything around the DC area is a 45 min. drive because of traffic) so now we drive 10 minutes.

Some of our staples:
* spinach and artichoke dip (in frozen food) best stuff ever. DD loves it as much as I do, so if I don't have to argue to get a 2 year old to eat spinach.
* buffalo wings
* Applegate Farms lunch meats
* whole wheat tortillas (use them for wrap sandwiches)
* Carne and Pollo Asada (fresh meat section)
* Italian chicken breast (fresh meat section)
* Southwestern Chicken breast (fresh meat section)
* Southwestern Turkey Burgers (frozen section)
* Gala apple juice (DD loves it)
* Kashi Mighty something kid's cereal (I like it too, it doesn't taste like cardboard like most Kashi cereals)
* Muslei cereal (DH's favorite)
* Fat free organic pasta sauce
* Organic Vodka pasta sauce
* TJ's pirate booty snacks
* pretzel slims

I think that about covers it. I love the premarinated meats, it's nice to just throw the chicken or steak on the Forman grill and go. DD likes the SW and Asada chicken, it's a little spicy but not too bad. They have a Cabernet pot roast that's really good too. Just open it, sear it and throw it in the crock pot with some potatoes, carrots, and onions and done. (I like easy, can you tell?!)

We didn't make the gym today either. DH was supposed to be home early so I could go twice and hasn't made it home on time (or for that matter tonight yet and it's 10:30) so no gym for me. I wasn't going tomorrow but now I'll probably make it since my girlfriend had to cancel our plans tomorrow.

Okay, I've yakked enough tonight. :) The small person wants cheese and it's time for bed. I'm beat too and my mom will be here tomorrow to do laundry since they still don't have a laundry room yet. They have to have the stuff hooked back up now that the drywall is up.

Congrats to all the losers this week! Since I've been back working out upstairs again my weight is up and down within two pounds, happens when I'm back up there so it'll stablize within the week. Always does this when I up the weight lifting.

Nighty Night!

I'm down another 1.4 pounds. I have been sick but am still trying to eat healthy and keep moving.

Congrats to all the other losers. If you are struggling don't beat yourself up, keep on moving and make healthier choices tomorrow.:cool1: :cool1:

Good Sat morning fellow challengers :banana:

I was down .5 on my official WI day and then "happened" to mention to the "Official charterer" (ohMom, Molli and DD) that I was back up -:rolleyes1 soooooooooooooooo guess I didn't get to have my .5 "loss" in my check in this week :rotfl:

Even though I have not posted this week - I have been thinking of all of you and Molli and I have be commisserating together that it has been a real struggle. I am a "stress" eater - and there has been a lot of that happening this past week - as I said to my DD - I need a month away at a fat farm, massages, yoga, healthy food and just R & R - anyone else ready for that too ;)

Boy Tiggerlover - you have lost your weight eating like a "gourmet" - thanks for the recipes - I am printing them off and plan to make the spinach one for sure as a SB treat tomorrow. Also, I am making "pizza" - I use tortillas (brown in oven just a bit) then top just like I do pizza and pop inot oven to bake. DH "approves" of this recipe too.

Chris - I want to look over your TJ foods again - have you tried the unsalted tortilla chips, the chicken brats (I like the apple and the spinach/feta cheese ones) Also, we buy protein powder from TJ - DH uses on his oatmeal for some added protein at breakfast and actually, I just mix with H20 after workout and drink it.

Speaking of workout - I am off - my tm is calling me and then a busy day begins, starting with getting my hair cut - boy it needs it - my hairdresser is going to tell me to keep my day job - I had to cancel my appt so I have been "whacking away" this week when needed :flower3:

Have a good weekend - and keep up the good work you losers - you are and inspiration and for the rest of us - just "hang in there" it WILL HAPPEN :love:

I finally found a few minutes to read all your posts. congrats everyone on their loses. I too am having such a hard time losing even when I drink SLim fast for Breakfast and lunch and eat a small healthy dinner. It really gets aggravating to hardly eat and still not lose or lose only 1lb for a ton of effort. I think I'm going back to the dr.next week and have my thyroid rechecked because although I have a lump on my thyroid and every symptom of Hypothroidism they refuse to pout me on meds. I"m getting a new Dr. and more bllod work I guess. Aside from the weight issues my skin is sooo dry and I'm very cold and tired alll the time. Also can be very moody, so something is going on there. Last year I lost 10lbs. in a month before our Dsieny trip :confused3 .

anyway I started journaling and counting pts. on my own too since I can't seem to get to the meetings with DH's long work hours. DS is not good about being quiet while the meetings going on. I really want to lose this 20 lbs. by summer so I can buy some clothes. I refuse to buy any new ones now since everything looks awful anyway. Unfortunately most of my extra weight is yucky belly fat and stretched out skin from having baby number 2 who was huge. Sorry such a long vent, but figured I'd join in. Going to exercise in a few minutes. If I don't fit it in early then I almost never will work out unless I take the kids for a walk and it's freezing outside today. Good luck everyone!:)

don't want to sound dumb but what kind of store is Trader Joe's, is it like and organic supermarket? I guess we don't have them in Knoxville, TN.

maureen -- :cool1: on a loss this week!! what exercises do you do with your stablility ball? do you have a DVD? i have my fav Denise Austin Shrink your Female Fat Zones but am always up for a new one to try. i'm sure walking on the job will tone your legs!! and squeezing that ball between your feet wont' hurt the effort either!!::yes::

TY for the congrats. I was surprised i lost. I do my stability ball with a video Fat to Firm For Dummies The actual workout is 45 minutes long and a good one i think since i'm a complete beginner with the ball. I don't actually squeeze the ball between my legs with this one but its got lunges and leg lifts which i know i need. They're hard but easier than doing The FIRM's versions of both. So with luck and some stick-to-it-tiveness i can hopefully get rid of a few thigh inches by the time i go on my cruise. But it works my whole body which is great, its not just leg exercises.

And on a short rant of my own. Why can't my Dh's friend come over in the afternoon AFTER calling:mad: He showed up at 9am just as i was getting out of bed. Lately its been my habit to do my video b4 breakfast while Dh does stuff on the computer. Its a nice pick me up and when i'm done i grab a shower while DH cooks breakfast for us both. Well's its after 10 and he's still here. I will get in a workout this weekend. Just not sure when that'll be now. Anyway, hope everybody has a great weekend. Happy losing
