After reading some of the questions here, just thought youall might like to know that Crocs saved my vacation...
Yep, I love them! I just got back from 9 days in wet/rainy/cold Wonderfull!Scotland. We were in Edinburgh the first 2 days, and the morning of the 3rd day it was pouring rain, and we had to go get the car to tour the country side, fine, but I slipped on 2 slick flyers on the cobblestone pavement, yes with the Crocs on, NOT their fault, the flyers were plastic coated... Any way, I kept walking, no choice, and the foot/leg was totally numb anyway... .
I can honestly say that I should have gone to the hospital. Didn't,cause I knew they would cast the foot... and no way was I going to do that...
The shoe did stretch to fit the swelling, and I will need a new pair, oh, darn! or several... after I get off the crutches and the air cast off..
But they really did make a difference, I did walk every day, lots, and even with the bum foot, they Crocs did great! I thought I had gotten them to big, thank goodness! If i had not had the Crocs there is no way I could have done any of the castles/museums stuff... I would have missed Loch Ness and the Castle Doune( Monthy Python/Holy Grail castle!), and all the historical stuff.
The doctor I went to yesterday LOVED the Crocs and I gave him the web site and local store info, he said they were the best thing I could have worn, if I had to keep walking...
So ugly or not, I am going to get more, as soon as the new sizing comes out! Any will let you all know how they work in WDW in May...
Oh, yea, the doc said he is sure the foot is not broken, but wants a radio/xray doc to re read them cause of the swelling/multi colors a week afterwards, I just ripped the mucles/and sprained it very badly , and of course a break would have been better... On the bright side I have very good meds for the pain and swelling, and we are blaming them for all the miss spelling/info in this post, and of course I will need new Crocs...many, many more....
