Easter Boulder Ridge Villas - Waitlist ?

Not really a waitlist question, but I'm curious about Boulder Ridge availability around Easter - specifically there is none! lol. Luckily I grabbed a two bedroom and then a 1/bed/studio split at the 11 month window (Sun-Fri). The studio was not available for Easter Sunday and I didn't have enough points for a 1-bed for the week so the kids will have to change rooms.

We also have some of us going a few days earlier (Fri-Mon, 2 studios at AKV). Also booked at 11 months.

My plan was to try to find something together (preferably at the same resort) at the 7 month window and I've been stalking the site, searching for Boulder Ridge availability (Waitlist only). I just assumed that all the resorts were fully booked for that time frame. I know its a busy time. But I just searched the week of Easter/Good Friday/April school vacation and notice the other DVC properties mostly have availability. I know this might not be the case at the 7 month mark but is there some reason that Boulder Ridge has no availability...not one day in April or May for studios or 2-beds. The 1-beds only have 6 days the very last week of May. Even March is almost fully booked. I saw only 1 night available in March with availability1 for the 2 bedroom villa.

Luckily we have rooms and I don't mind a split stay (actually like it), but do want to adjust a bit. Right now we probably have one more room than we need Sunday night. The past five years (pre Covid)- we've gone to BRV (2-Bedroom) in May and have never had a problem booking and I don't recall booking right at 11 months (Maybe 8-10 months).

Does this seem typical? I would think if its just due to Spring Break/Post Covid/Extra Points, it would be true for many other resorts. Just curious. Thanks.

Possible BRVs are getting long overdue refurbishment.

Keep checking as they are probably blocking rooms due to the impending refurb. Once the refurb plan firms up, perhaps they will release some rooms for booking? Definitely waitlist.

Now I'm worried we will be asked to move! Generally the construction doesn't bother me, unless things are closed. Is there anywhere to find out about upcoming refurbishments

Thanks I will keep checking. Since I have 2 home resorts (and used all the BRV points) I'm waiting to modify one of the reservations when I can use the points outside my home resort. I may just use the BRV somewhere else if I can find something.

Boulder Ridge had very limited availability for that week when I booked that same week at exactly 11 months (we own at BRV and BWV; we used our BWV points to book BWV but I had checked BRV). I'm hoping it's because they are starting the refurbishment.
