We'll be taking our yearly trip to Disney World this year over Easter (3-20 through 3-28 @ Pop Century). My 5 year old son has already asked, "How will the Easter Bunny find us?" Should I anticipate Everything POP selling pre-made Easter Baskets or should I just pack my two boy's baskets & buy candy & toys to fill them with once we're there? Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

When we were there Easter Sunday there was baskets being sold at the resort gift shop. I personally bring my own collapsible Disney character basket and Disney items I purchased ahead of time to fill it. That is what I am doing this Easter coming up.

We leave empty baskets out each year for the bunny to fill so I had to bring them along to Disney. I brought my own stuff from home to fill the baskets with and added a few disney items from the gift shop. The resort gift shops were all selling baskets but POFQ did stop taking orders at some point (can't remember when). I am planning to do the same again this year.

I had my dd write a note to the EB letting him know where we were - she was a tad worried.

If your staying onsite all the resorts had some type of game/craft activitie for the kids on Easter Sunday.

Don't forget you could also send down a package before you leave and it will be waiting for you when you check in. That way your DD will not accidently find the things!:rotfl:

Anyone know how much these baskets were and what was in them? We're just bringing characters gift bags to use as baskets and filling with an invite to the Wonderland Tea Party, arcade gift card, Disney PJ's and filling plastic Disney eggs with little treats and $1 Disney money. All easy stuff to pack and hide.

My DD13 said the same exact thing when she was 5 in WDW! :lmao:

Last time we were there for Easter we just went to the nearby grocery store to buy them, my brother-in-law also called the front desk (WL) and had them seny them to our room ( so he could put them on DH's room charge:rolleyes:, we told them we already got baskets and he didn't listen:confused3, but that's a whole other story).

We were there last year the week before Easter and they were selling the pre-made Easter Baskets. I trying to remember, but I believe you could buy things at the gift shop and they would put them in the basket and wrap it up for you.

I can't remember the price of the baskets and they had all sorts of stuff in them. I love your idea to use character gift bags. We are flying down and I didn't want to take any baskets with me. I also like your idea of the Disney eggs with little treats and $1 Disney money. I been trying to figure out some different ideas and these were great. I bought some pins to trade and the Disney eggs would be perfect to put them in. Where did you buy your Disney eggs?

We went a few years ago over Easter and I was surprised at the small amount of Easter items that were for sale. DH and I thought we would wait and splurge on some Easter candy while on vacation. We ended up just buying a bag full of some bulk candy from one of the sweet shops. So if you want Easter specific stuff, I would bring my own down!

We've gone over Easter a few times and I've always brought the baskets because I didn't want to take any chances. But I never felt comfortable putting too much chocolate in them for fear of melting during our travels (we usually drive - but late March isn't that hot so I'd be less worried this year). So I'd do little things from the Disney Store, etc and once or twice a got a few other things once we arrived in WDW. And I packed the baskets in a securely closed bag - either with a little lock or tightly tied - mostly to avoid me or DH forgetting which it was and then accidentally "unpacking" it when we got there.

We haven't bought them yet, but Walmart had them the last few years. If your kids have crocs, jibbitz are small and fun too. We are also doing Tink gifts and any of that stuff would be good Easter basket stuff too: bubbles, light up toy, glow necklaces, princess lipgloss, sunglasses, pool toys, etc.

We sent down our Easter Basket stuff the week before with my DF's golf clubs and it was waiting for us when we got there. DSD10 is not really into sweets but I did the chocolate bunny and we had spoken the week before about different candy that she did like. This year since we are going on the DCL Easter Sunday I am going to put a new bathing suite, some goggles, and new cover up and some lip stuff with spf in them as well as Easter Candy! She is not going to find out about the cruise until we get on the ME! Very exciting!:goodvibes

They do have crocs I would have never thought about getting some jibbitz. Thanks for some great ideas. I don't know why, but I always have a hard time thinking up good ideas for Easter.
