We will be visiting April 3 - April 6. My daughter and I are flying for the first time in many years. I am disabled with mobility issues, so am a little concerned with handling the luggage as it is, so I know we need to pack light. I already have an Easter basket put together for her, but am looking for advice on the best way to get it to Anaheim. How do the airlines handle luggage searches these days? Will the basket get destroyed at the airline? Can it be wrapped to keep it secure?

We will be staying at BWPPI. Would shipping it to the hotel ahead of time be best? Any other suggestions?

I'm sure you could ship, but as an alternative, you could pack the stuff and use a bag or soft sided basket ( Target and Walmart both carry these) to put the stuff in once you get there. I think that would be easier than trying to pack an actual basket.

Santa visited DD in Disney World when she was 8. It made the trip extra magical.

Airlines are hard on luggage so I agree with the suggestion to pack a soft basket and assemble it once you get to the BWPPI.

The "basket" I have is actually a Disney Store trick or treat bag. I got it on clearance in November and had her name put on it. Total cost - $4.00, love it! So, you think if I pack the stuff individually, it will fare better than trying to keep it all together?

@JustCallMeMommy - how/where did Santa keep the items hidden until the proper time?

It turns out that kids don't notice extra luggage because luggage is boring. We unpacked and just put that suitcase with the other empty suitcases. As an added bonus, we had plenty of room for souvenirs going home.
