But it was just the tables? I thought I heard they were waving metal detectors over people and patting people down.
How long do you think it will take to get through security on a busy day? Are there long lines to get to the tables?
Do you know if Storyteller's has a buffet at 1:40 on Easter Sunday?
I did not specifically see anyone getting a patdown or waved down with the metal detector, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't happening. It could have happened to some people, but I didn't experience it. However, the overzealous security table/tent CM was enough for me! The other ones I dealt with later were not like that.
Yesterday was one of those days that was not really supposed to be terribly crowded. It was certainly not slow or quiet, but it was not awful. Some rides had very short lines at certain points in the day, including HM and TSMM. There were short hours -- a late opening and an early closing -- in both parks.
Because of the 10 a.m. opening, I think people were chomping at the bit to get in the parks by that time, and the lines at the security tables/tents were very long. I must have stood there in line for a good 10 minutes before the line really started moving, but other lines seemed to be moving much more quickly. So, on a busier day with longer hours it could be even worse, I suppose.
I don't know if there is a Storytellers buffet on Easter Sunday, but I would like to know. Yesterday I passed by the restaurant several times for various reasons, and it did not look very busy at all. I thought, "If only it could be like this all the time." The PCH Grill did not look busy at all either.
