We are thinking about visiting MK the week of Easter monday. I note that there are early morning hours almost everyday. My question is about crowds. Are the crowds at EAster worse than Christmas, I know Easter is the same date every where in the world so does this make it a week to avoid. Or do you just need patience....and alcohol...

No, it's not worse than Christmas, although it's pretty bad. The only thing worse than Christmas would be if Walt, Roy and Mortimer appeared in a cloud next to the Castle speaking telepathically to guests like Yoda, Annikan and Obi-Wan did to Luke in Return of the Jedi.

Ideally, two weeks after Easter is a much better week to visit than the week after Easter as it relates to crowd size, but it's certainly doable. Mid day crowds will get pretty big but MSEP nightly, multiple F! shows and MK closing at 11pm or later every night helps.

We went the week before Easter a few years ago and it was packed...we did rope drop and managed but it was insane.

The OP is talking about arriving the Monday after Easter, not before easter. there is a pretty big difference there.

I would definitely go see that. :lmao: It'd be even more awesome if Annette was there singing and dancing in her mouse ears.

We're going to be there then, too. Arriving the day before Easter and staying through the following Sunday. It's either that or summer, so we're trading a bump in crowds for better weather, and hoping crowds taper off later in the week. Since we have a kindergartener, we've resigned ourselves to crowded vacations for the next many years.

In general easter is very crowded, usually falling in the middle of prime spring break season. When easter is late like this year the crowds tend to be a little less, but still crowded. Of the two weeks, the week before easter is usually more crowded then the week after.

The week starting April 21st is also the week many of us in The Northeast have Spring break. Usually the crowds are not too bad, but every few years it falls over Easter and the crowds are higher. Who knows about this year tho as there are many who are talking about having their break taken away due to so many snow days.

Jill...who will be there 4/18 - 4/26 :)

We go every Easter usually arriving the Sat before Easter. its crowded but we don't think its any worse than summer. The only hiccup we ever experienced was last year we went to MK the day before or after Easter and decided to park our car at MK. We got a late start maybe 9a and it was INSANE. I have never experienced that many people trying to cram their way onto a tramcar. I dont think we had ever parked where we park either lol. But that was the worst of it. By the time we got in MK it was fine. Crowded but manageable. We like going this time of year since the weather is usually great. Have Fun :)
