We loved WDW our first time this past June - even in the rain.
We now have AP tickets and ready to return Easter 2003.

Are there still discounts at WDW hotels Holy Thursday, Good Friday,.....thu
Easter Sunday and the following week ?

When should I reserve a room ?
Can I wait till Jan 2003 ?

Does the SWAN/DOLPHIN have teacher rates for Easter week ?
Are there AP rates available at WDW resorts for Easter week ?

sorry for so many questions.
I love palnning our WDW vacations :)

We will be there that week too! I already made our ressies for POR from the 16-26, 11 days. I would suggest you make them as soon as possible, because that is a big vacation week for most people. You can make your room ressie now and for sure book your flights. We booked our flights already, got the lowest fares and roundtrip is costing 230.00! (Delta). You'll see the rates are very high right now one way, because its such a huge popular week. So if this is the week you want, I wouldn't wait much longer. happy planning!:D

We got AKL (savannah view) for $210.00+tax/night for the week before Easter '02. I called about 6 weeks before (early Feb.) and changed our ressies, we already had them for CBR but changed to AKL because of the discount.
Just a warning though it will be PACKED! Our first day (Sunday before Easter) was wonderful, however, by mid-week it was absolutely mobbed!

We were there for this past Easter. We arrived on the Friday before Easter and stayed through the following Friday. We could have gotten AsMu for $103 (with tax), but decided to stay off-site at Comfort Inn LBV for $67 per night in a family suite. I think the $103 was with the DC discount.

It was absolutely packed, but we stilled enjoyed ourselves. We really utilized the fastpass system for everything!!!

Hi everyone I'll be there too! Let's not forget to wear our lime
green ribbons.
My question is for Jillpie:
Where did you book your flights, $230.00 is a better deal then
what I was quoted?
Thanks,
Winnie

Winniemouse, I didn't book our flights as a "roundtrip", I booked each flight as a one way. Our flight from Boston to Orlando was 109.00 and the return flight was 123.00. I had to get on the phone at midnight to get these low fares and the return flight low fares were completely taken within 20 minutes! I did this exactly 331 days before we are going, that is when the airlines will allow you to book it. (I think thats the number, whatever it was, thats when I got on the phone).

Hi, I am planning a return Easter trip too!!! I am trying to see if any codes will come out but in the meantime I am getting ready to book ASMo for the regular price until the DC rates come out. I'll keep my fingers crossed for any better rates though. I got a pretty good deal with airfare. I opened an account at PNC Bank and got a free companion ticket so that means that both me and my daughter will fly for $280 plus tax roundtrip from Philadelphia YEAH!! I need to save as much $ as possible because we want to do Discovery Cove this time around and possibly a day at Universal. Good luck everyone. I can't wait to go back and we were just there 6/22/02 to 6/29/02. :p

I have the Dolphin at the Teacher's rate of $129 for 4/21 - 4/27. I booked it at the beginning of July.

As for flights, I did the same thing as Jillpie. As a matter of fact, I am also from the Boston area. The prices right now are outrageous to fly out of Boston to Orlando during Easter 2003. However, your area might be better then Boston. If Southwest is in your area, then I would try them in October because they only release their flights 6 months in advance. I would call them and ask them when the flights will go on sale and I would stay up until midnight the day before in order to get a good fare.

I have a teachers rate of $129. 4/13-4/18 at the Dolphin. I couldn't get the teachers rate for the first night so I have to pay $319 for that first night (choke). I did okay on the airfaire though at $211. with USair. I waited too long. Two months ago, it was $189. Now I have to change flights in Pittsburg??? coming back to Philly.

The $129 rate at the Swolphin may also be available for government employees. It definitely works for feds but may be available for state and local government employees also. Check by using the reservation site at www.swandolphin.com

There wasn't any availability there at all for my March trip, so you've got to catch these while they're offered.

Thank you to all the replies.
I will call the Dolphin back and see what I can do with
my rate. We have $154 teacher rate for Easter week.
I will call back and ask about the $129 rate.

Again :) Thank you for all your help !

I got $129 teacher's rate for 4/16-4/21 at the Swan. We are driving so airfare isn't an issue. We are going to drive up to HH after the Swan to check that out. Look forward to seeing you guys at WDW.
