Hi everyone, we are making our first trip to WDW easter of next year, We fly out from the uk on thursday 6th april, we appreciate this is going to be a busy time at the parks but was wandering if someone could confirm when Easter holidays start in USA and how long they last ( ie is it going to be busy for the whole 2 week period we are there)

oh and one other quick question, what are the charges on the toll roads? we are staying at hampton lakes and im going to be nervous enough driving on the different side of the road when i get out of the airport and dont want the extra worry of having correct money for tolls

Thank you all in advance, and roll on april 06

Easter is very very busy . . . .We will also be there . . .Easter is on Sunday, April 16th. We were there for Easter 2000 and the crowds were incredible!
Usually the week before Easter and the week after Easter are the busiest.

Go to the parks early, leave, then return later in the evening . . .its the only way to do it to beat the crowds . . .

Most of all . . .HAVE FUN!! :wizard:

We went this past March during my dd's weeklong Spring Break from school and this happened to also be the week before Easter. It was CROWDED!!! I have been told that the week before and the week after Easter is crowded. However, we started getting smart about the best ways to use the Fast Passes and everything went smoothly. One other tip that I have is to take advantage of the nighttime parades and fireworks show....ride the rides during those events. We walked onto rides with no wait at all that had 1 1/2 hr. waits earlier in the day. We went back another night to actually see the parade and fireworks. Just relax and have fun! I'm beginning to wonder if there is any time of year when the park isn't crowded. :earboy2:

There are two toll roads in the area and the tolls will be either $.75 or $1 each time you hit a toll stop (unless they have raised them again since I was last there a few months ago). There is always at least one toll booth at each stop that is manned and can provide change.

US schools have their spring breaks anywhere from February through April but majority of grade and high schools still have them either the week leading up to Easter (which is April 16 in 2006) or the week that begins with Easter. Those two weeks are traditionally 2 of the three most crowded weeks of the year at WDW (the other is Christmas).
