That is one of the neat things I see about Cartagena, so must is walkable.. And neat things are close to the port. REALLY NEAT THINGS

So when you say free walking tours, do you mean just walking or is there guides and routs to follow???

We definatly want to go to the Roman theater and that area..

Watched a couple on the Youtube walk along the wall and then up the wall around where the tourest office is. Now these guys had a good attutude, but it showed me that it would have been nice if they had some better information in hand before they started.. (ha is that not always the case)

I looked on Trip Advisor for walking tours and there seem to be some good ones in Cartagena and we have had good luck using free walking tours in other European cities. It is incredible that there are Roman ruins within walking distance of the port!

Many thanks I will look at that, I also found this site with some guided tours.. You can load it on your phone... But not sure the cost of using it in outside the US.. But lots of great tips on places to look at..

Yes is that not so awesome how close those sites are... mind blowing..

There are also Roman ruins in Malaga Spain with some cool Moorish forts..

We are joining you all! We were on the EBTA in May 2017 and loved it but my husband missed out on going to Castaway Cay...so we booked the 3 day cruise before this so we can have a day there Love all the suggestions already. I think I'll spend the weekend deep in research mode!

Just sharing some neat things with in walking distances to the ports

The city of Malaga was the birth place of Pablo Picasso.. and there is a huge Picasso Museum with over 200 paintings in it.

Now someone says "I am not a big Picasso fan.. Why should I go??"

The Museum is in a 16th century palace.

Now if someone says "its still not enough I am not sold yet". In the basement of the museum are the original fortress walls built by the Phoenicians in 4th Century BC.

All this is near the Roman Theater and the Moorish Alcazaba fortress

Welcome and I think you were so smart adding that that 3 day cruise on the front of the TA.. Because now you took what was just a simple Wonderful-fantastic-unbelievable cruise and you made it a Magical-Wonderful-Fantastic-unbelievable cruise.

You will have the baby for those 13 days no matter where you are.. And no matter what you do its better on a cruise.. So it will be better bringing him/her along .. I got to know will Disney count this as the babys 1st cruise. ?? He/She will be Pantinum in no time

Haha! Our very first EBTA we stopped at Castaway but that has been the only one so we figured why not and yes all the great info on these boards can be very dangerous!

Our first one did too. 2013 out of Galveston was ours. Was that yours?

True, but in May there are often those pesky love bugs! On our EBTA in '11 all outdoor venues were closed when boarding to try and keep the massive swarm of love bugs from inside the ship. They were horrible that year! We did sail away party the next day while leaving Castaway and were still finding the little stowaways a couple days into the crossing.

UGG! We left Port Canaveral for the May 13, 2017 EBTA, and had nothing like that.

wow that is messy,, Are they not down in Miami??? Never heard of a love bug attack on ports before.. But would not want to be in them.
