Easiest Way to Disney Springs from MCO?

Hello,

We might be staying at the MCO Hyatt for two nights before a cruise and we'd like to visit Disney Springs from there. What's the easiest way to get to Disney Springs and then back to MCO? We won't use Uber, Lyft, or any other so-called "ride share" services, but anything else is probably OK. We're just two adults, so there's no worry about car seats or anything like that.

Thanks!

I mean if you don't want to do any rideshare type of transport then I'm guessing you'd say no to a taxi or private car service company?

So I guess your options are take what's likely multiple bus routes or rent a car...

No, taxis and private car companies are fine. Uber and Lyft are horrible companies and I refuse to support them or their business model. But I'm not really here to argue about that. Sorry.

Do you know of a good private car or taxi service? Or a bus, really. I'm looking for convenience over cost.

Using the 311 Lynx bus is easy. It picks up on the A side and goes to Disney Springs. The ride is an hour or so and is $2 per person. There are also licensed taxis, if you do not wish to to use a rideshare

Mears Connect goes to all the Resorts and Disney Springs.

Mears wants flight information, which doesn't exist for the ride back. They seem to only go to the hotels at Disney Springs, too, but I guess some of them are close enough to walk over.

That's easy and cheap. That might be the answer. Thanks!

I’m sure the MCO Hyatt could get a taxi for you, too, if you’d prefer a quicker trip. The MCO website on the ground transportation page lists four taxi companies that serve the airport - Mears is one of them.

We've used Elex many times. They're fantastic

It doesn't really matter too much to us, but all their vehicles are electric if that matters to you. Mostly Audi, Tesla, jaguar and Cadillac electric vehicles

Is this a serious question? Why wouldn't you just take a taxi? I'd use Uber or Lyft, but it seems you are appalled at that idea. If you can't afford a taxi there is always the two hour bus ride.

What's the harm in asking? Why with the attitude?

I got some good advice here, like the Lynx bus. It's about one hour, not two, and it's only $2!

I also had a pretty good experience with the Lynx 311 bus to MCO this week…
  • The bus stops at a parking lot in the extreme Northwest corner of Disney Springs, beyond Cirque Du Soleil
  • The bus arrived 20 minutes late from the arrival time posted on Lynx's website (not unusual for US public buses)
  • Judging from the number of people waiting, I'd say it probably does come about every half hour
  • The fare was indeed $2, which I paid in cash
  • Other riders paid with a mobile app
  • The bus remained at Disney Springs for 5 or so minutes
  • There was usable public wifi
  • There were lots of open seats
  • The bus seemed clean and was reasonably comfortable
  • The bus pulled out at 6 PM and took 55 minutes to reach the airport
  • The windows were tinted with dots, so I didn't get to see much. But my route followed I-4 briefly and then made several stops in town
  • We were dropped off at the baggage claim under Southwest Air ticketing

We are staying at Saratoga in a couple of weeks. We were planning on driving but decided to fly. The biggest stress for me when flying is transport to the hotel. Taxis are expensive, I hate uber/lyft and Mears is pricey for what you get. We are going to give this a try since it's just a couple minute walk to Saratoga from the bus drop off and we will only have backpacks and one carry-on. Excited for this cheap option.

I'd rent a car. It would cost more than the bus but at least I'd be able to come and go when I want to. On vacation, time is precious and wouldn't want to be standing around for an hour waiting for a bus. We have done this while staying at the Hyatt MCO to go see the ice show at the Gaylord Palms and it was so easy.

You asked for the easiest, not the cheapest. :goodvibes
