I've never flown into MCO before so looking for some advice. My 70+ mother and brother will be flying into Orlando on a different day than my DH and I. They will have a good bit of luggage, since we're doing a few days at Wyndham Bonnet Creek and then a cruise.

Where are the rideshare/car service pickups relative to baggage claim? I'm leaning towards having a driver meet them at baggage claim to help with luggage, but would like to understand the relative amount of walking involved in the different options. They'll be flying SW.

TIA!

The rideshare pickup zones are located on the baggage claim levels of both terminals, there is signage inside the baggage claim areas that explains where the rideshare pickup zones are, the zones are at the beginning and ends of the arrivals curbs so the exact distance walked really depends on which carousel your bags arrive at, generally speaking its a fairly short walking distance.. All Uber/Lyft/etc. drivers are required to pickup from these designated zones but cannot exit their vehicles nor idle to wait for you, its a quick pickup and go.. If you think your mother/brother will need a higher level of service/support or any type of special assistance including bag assistance then I would recommend booking a private car service such as Mears or FL Tours, private chauffeurs will typically wait for you inside the baggage claim area and provide a more personalized experience..

I would also recommend reviewing the airport website below: https://www.orlandoairports.net/parking-transportation/

I would not recommend an MCO Uber pickup for someone who has never used Uber before, or for anyone who needs help with their luggage. When you ask for the "easiest," my thoughts immediately go to an actual limo service.

Also, even two people with "a good bit of luggage" may well require Uber or Lyft XL, which will increase the cost a good bit so the differential between XL and car service may not be huge.

Echoing the two other posters, I would definitely go with a car service for what you need. There are plenty of good companies in the area who will meet you at the bottom of the Baggage Claim escalator and walk you out to the car with your luggage.
