Easiest time to get HH in Summer?

We're thinking of HH for next Summer. Our preferred months would be July or August, and we'd be booking at the seven month mark. Would we be best trying to book day by day. Also is there a less quiet time to go during these months - eg. would the last two weeks in August be easier to get - like at WDW?

I know it is probably going to be difficult to book. Is last week in May or last week in October just as hard? Those two weeks could also be options, but how would the weather be then? Would it be hot enough to swim?

At 7 months, late August and early June will usually be easier - especially if you want a 2BR. Many have reported success throughout the summer at 7 months, so no dates are impossible. Since there are only 21 Studios and 21 1BR villas, they are a tougher find thru the summer, but even those have been found at times.

I would definitely call right at 7 months and don't be afraid of the wait list if you can't find what you want at first call.

In you shoes I would try for the latter half of August since it is way less crowded than July. The ocean is too cold for swimming in Oct and May, unless it is late May, but then you are getting into the Memorial Day holidays which leads to the busy issue again. Good luck with your call to MS though--you never know!

For the past 3 summers we have booked a two Bedroom at HHI at the 7 month window. No problems what so ever. HHI is mostly 2 bedrooms so that helps us....

Our first two trips were in Mid to late June and our 2006 trip is the week after July 4th. In fact we booked TWO 2 bedrooms at the 7 month window for July this year.

Studios.... 1 bedrooms... are another story.
