I recently ruptured 75% of my Achilles tendon. I have now cancelled my 11 days at WDW for January 13-24! The recovery time is 8 weeks and I am not willing to be unable to walk around when I am there.

My question is, "When would be the easiest and best period of time between February 10 and May 31st (264 points expire) to rebook? I had a two BR at OKW and a one BR at BLT but am willing to change to two other resorts.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

May would probably be your best bet. It's after all the spring breaks and still before the schools let out. I've been there the past 3 years in May and the crowds are moderate and the weather is just right.

Great minds think alike...early May would be my choice. Flower Festival is going and hopefully you be fully recovered by then.

If you cancelled after 12/13, they are holding account points so you can only reserve 60 days in advance.

Sorry about your situation. I have a slightly torn Plantar Fascia ligament in my foot and it is taking sooo long to heal. I have to walk with NO push-off on that foot. I keep screwing up feel it immediately.

My guess would be Feb-Mar. Good luck with your rehab and booking a new stay. :thumbsup2

Late April - early May. Those weeks between the end of spring break and late-May when some schools start wrapping up for the year are pretty slow. They are overpriced relative to demand, too, which also drives down occupancy, IMO.

I've had excellent luck at 7 mos even for the last week of May. Sure hope DVC doesn't mess with "May" as this is my favorite month to travel.

As a result of my semi-spotless DVC membership history and my medical excuse, I was allowed to make my reservation for May!

Thanks for all the advice. It was wonderful to see so much agreement on the May date.

I reserved a BLT one bedroom lake view for 7 nights from May 1- May 8. I was delighted that it was available. :thumbsup2
