Hello,

Which are the easiest resorts to book a studio at 7 months for July?

We will be at Pop Century in July with some friends, then when they leave we will switch to a DVC resort with our points. Then we will switch to our home resort, BLT with the rest of our points. We have already booked DVC because of the 11 month window.

We are hoping for Boardwalk, but open to anything really. Just wondering what our options will most likely be?

I have been able to get BWV at the 7 month mark for late July/early August the past two summers.

I think you have a good chance of getting the resort.

Right at 7 months, I think you'll have a choice of resorts available for July.:wizard:

I think you'll have several to pick from at 7 months - we've always found something available. The larger ones like AKV, SSR & OKW for sure. But I'm a little confused why you don't just book the entire time at BLT with your booking window advantage. :confused3 Can't you just add on a couple more days to that stay? I wouldn't do the split moves if it's for short time periods.

We have stayed at BLT the past two years, for 12 nights and 13 nights.

This year, we are already locked in to a split stay because of our friends joining us. They are on a budget so we're staying at Pop, and we want to stay at the same hotel. After they leave, we will use our year's points for the remainder of our trip.

We want to try other hotels, and have been interested in staying at the Boardwalk since we visited it for dinner two years ago. We don't mind the split stays, and will be at each resort for probably about a week each.

We eventually want to stay at all of the DVC resorts, but don't want to give up staying at BLT. So we have decided to do many split stays in the upcoming years, at BLT and another hotel.

We LOVE our BLT and have loved staying there for 2 weeks the past 2 years. But we want to try some more new hotels as well! We have stayed at all of the moderates, two of the values, and Contemporary and AKL (twice), in addition to twice at BLT.

Thanks for all of the opinions about the BW at 7 months. Keeping our fingers crossed.

To answer the question posed in the thread title, SSR will be the easiest to book at 7 months in general. OKW would be next.

However, the summer months are fairly available for most resorts at 7 months. Good luck! :)

Saratoga Springs.....hands down, OKW....very likely AKV.....depends on specific dates/season of year

If you are talking about July 4 time (any nights July 1 through 7) you may have a hard time getting anything except possibly SSR, OKW or perhaps AKL. If you are talking about the rest of July, you will likely find BWV preferred open although maybe not boardwalk or standard view and BCV and VWL may also have openings. Key: call exactly 7 months out; anything that is open can disappear quickly once you get beyond 7 month date.

Would this hold true for the last week in August up to Labor Day?
I'll be booking a 2 bedroom at SSR the end of the month for next August but we want to try another resort since we have stayed in 3 Bedroom Villa at SSR and a 2 bedroom at BLT (we came home yesterday).

Thank you.

This holds true for all times for WDW. SSR is the easiest resort to book overall for every time of year and all unit sizes 2 BR or smaller. That doesn't necessarily mean it'll be available when you call. There are times when things have been sold out and cancelations open up a given resort. The easiest DVC resort to book is actually HH off season.
