Easiest or cheapest way from Pop Century to Prime (Belz) outlets?

Does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to take a taxi from Pop Century to Prime (formerly Belz) outlet?

EDIT: Please point me in the direction of a company that would pick us up at the hotel and take us to the outlet. We don't really want to ride the public buses as that seems kind of complicated. A shuttle would be great, but I can't find any information about one online.

Nope, but I'd say pretty high. A taxi from a hotel near Old Town to Universal Studios was somewhere in the high $30s one way.
You might want to try Mears, especially if you can get by with only one person going.

actually you might want to go to Premier oulets instead (off of vineland ave)

they have many of the same stores and has a nice Disney outlet store...

Thanks for your replies! Could you give me some information about Mears? I looked on their website and couldn't find any prices or information about transportation to the malls. You're right, $30's one way is too high for us!

I've been to both outlet malls and Belz is my favorite. But, is Premier closer to disney?

Any other suggestions and/or links to other transportation sites would be really helpful! Thanks again!

From what I found on the LYNX website, route 304 runs between DTD and Prime Outlet.
35-40mins travel time
$1.50

I thought those 300 routes only run in the morning. I think you have to start out at the Transportation and Ticket center using another bus.

But if you choose not to use a bus I think a better bet might be to arrange for an onsite car rental in advance. That way you can go to Belz, Prime and that other outlet I can't think of the name of....although its straight down the road that runs past the crossroads...turn right, go under route 4 and keep going. Just spend a day zipping about.

Yes, it sounds complicated to me- having to take 4 different shuttles/buses to get there (including the shuttle to get to Magic Kingdom). I'll have my 62 year old mom, a 2 year old, a stroller, and probably some packages on the way back. These are the directions I was given:

Go to Magic Kingdom Take boat to transportation center
walk out the exit and go to the left where the buses are
walk to Lynx Bus Stop 50 take the 50 bus to seaworld get off
then take Bus 8 to the Prime Mall

I can't find any information on a direct route from DTD to Prime Outlet on the Lynx website. Can you link it for me?

It seems to me that the $$ you would "save" at an outlet mall would be small compared to what you would spend to get there. Not to mention having to haul your goodies back home. Why not spend the day vegging at your resort? If you get to leave MI in the winter, why spend your day in the stores? Isn't there an outlet mall somewhere on your part of I-75?

Some people like to shop for relaxation, fun or sport. Outlet hopping & consignment shopping is one of our favorite pasttimes if there are no guys along on the trip. I'm glad to hear that info about taking the #50 bus to Seaworld.

Renting a car for the day is the easiest and might even be the cheapest way to go.

The premium outlet malls are closer. They have shuttle buses from some of the hotels. Call and see where you can get the bus. You can take the Disney bus to DTD.

Mears taxi estimator says the fare from Blizzard Beach to Mary Queen of the Universe is around $16. The outlet malls are just N but I think POP is closer than BB. The resort can give you a better idea of the cost for a taxi but I wouldn't want to spend hours of my vacation taking 3 and 4 buses to get somewhere.

Grab a cab or rent a car.

Have you ever tried "vegging" with a 2 year old on the loose?
We want to spend part of a day shopping because it's fun! Hauling the stuff back won't be a big deal. We don't plan to buy that much- just a few souvenirs for my mom's other grandkids.
We may just try the premium outlet since it's closer.
