Easiest/hardest parks to hop to??

Hi, which parks are the easiest to hop to and which are the hardest? I am trying to plan our itinerary and just want to make sure I am not scheduling two parks on one day that will take forever to get to. Thanks!

i'd say the easiest hop is from MK to EPCOT via the monorail. the hardest would be from MK to AK or maybe MGM, think you have to bus that one.

None of them are hard....just more time consuming. As the previous poster mentioned, hopping between MK and Epcot is very easy via the monorail. Between Epcot and MGM there is a boat - you could also walk it, but it's a rather long walk. The most time consuming would be AK to any other park as you must take a bus if you don't have a car.

To go from AK to Mk is a pain and generally takes 90 minutes. You have to take a MK bus, but it drops you off at the TTC. Then you either have to take the monorail or boat to MK. We timed this once. We drove our car from AK to TTC, then took monorail. Our friends took Disney's transportation. It took us 45 minutes to get into MK. It took them an extra 45 min. What they should have done, was take the Contemporary bus from AK and then walked to MK (10 minute walk.)

The easiest parks to go between are Epcot and MGM.

You can take a boat to/from MGM and the IG entrance of Epcot. Or you can take a bus to/from MGM and the front entrance of Epcot.

The hardest is MK since you need to transfer at the TTC. The busses to/from MGM and MK, AND, to/from AK and MK, along with the monorail to/from Epcot end/start at the TTC.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea going by bus from MK to another park stopped at TTC. Now I know we should walk to the Contemporary and catch a bus from there.

I suggest you post this question on the Transportation Board. The reason is that Tyler (a/k/a/ Chip N Dale) answers questions like this and since he is a Disney bus driver he will have the correct answer. I thought there were buses from theme park to theme park as opposed to some of the answers you have received.

Ak is prob the most inconvient to hop to because your only option is the bus(unless you have a car) but they are all do-able.

I think they are all not bad.

Maybe the most time consuming would be from MK to AK or from MK to MGM as you'd have to get to the TTC first and then get on the right bus.

MK to Epcot and back isn't bad because of the monorail.

MGM to Epcot and back isn't bad because of the closeness to each other. You can walk or take the boat.

I used park hopping quite a lot during my August trip. It was how we were able to do everything including all the parades.

It was so cool to go from AK to MGM to catch the MGM parade!

AK may be hard to hop TO, but at least a couple years ago, it was pretty easy to hop from there to either MGM or Epcot. There was a bus directly from AK to those 2 parks. It stopped at MGM first, then Epcot. Hopefully, they still have that bus.

Even without the direct to AK bus (which they may still have), you can take a bus from AK to AKL (very short trip) and from there to anywhere.

The quickest route from MK to DMGM is take the Dolphin/Swan bus from MK, then you can easily walk(or take short boat ride) to DMGM. Like wise use the AKL as your stopping point between MK and AK.
