Does anyone find it is much easier to save for their Disney trip in the winter instead of summer months? In summer we have 4 Cape Cod trips planned - staying at MILs but of course we want to go out for dinner, etc. Then we have 3 long weekends planned camping - need money to mini-golf, etc. And then there are day trips to museums, zoos, aquariums, etc. I find in the winter it is much easier to take the $35 out of each weeks paycheck and put towards the Disney trip. Each month I also go to Disney store and charge $100 in Disney dollars - this will continue until we get on the plane. But it is much easier to save in winter when weather is too lousy to get out and do much.

Absolutely! You sound like me. It sounds as if you really like the summer. I love to be out and about in the summer so my pocketbook has to come with me. ;)

Its easier to save for Disney in the winter because I dream of the warmth of the resorts and the cheery, crowded atmosphere at the parks. The isolation of the winter months gives me the chance to store away extra money and extra pounds! But -- I seem to save more change in the summer months since I spend more money!

Since I am a teacher and work the rest of the year, summer is easier for me. That is when I clean out the closet and have yard sales. You would be surprised with how much money you can make with things you no longer have a use for.
