I'm looking at buying into DVC. It looks like points resell at ~$10 per point. How easy/difficult is it to sell unused points?::MinnieMo

I wouldn't buy DVC with the intention of renting. Buy what you need to take a DVC vacation. The problem with planning to rent is that you never know what will happen with anything. The economy, world peace, this web site changing, etc...... The whole rental market could go away for who knows how long?

Now back to the basic question. It really isn't that hard but I would suggest getting some more posts on the board. I have had a couple of people tell me that they feel more comfortable renting from someone on these boards who has a history that they can read through.

Good luck.

I've done it once and it was extremely easy. I rented them on the DIS rental/trade board (214 pnts for $10/pnt).

That said, I agree completely with HB Cat. Don't buy with an expectation of rental. It is probably not a great "business" move. Consider the possibility of rental much like the other parts of the program (concierge collection, world passport, etc..) nice opportunities which provide some flexibilitiy with the points, but all of which may go the way of the DoDo Bird someday and you have no control over when.

The best and most predictable value comes from use at the DVC resorts.

Good luck with the decision! :)
