Do you get in 30 minutes early as long as you are staying on-site? Or, do you have to book a vacation package to get in 30 minutes early?

We have booked an RPR room (with a code) and bought the $99 tickets online. It was actually cheaper to do it that than the vacation package.

Thanks.

I'm quite sure you have to book a package to get the early entry but even so...there are only a couple of attractions open early. Universal has done the early entry for passholders before and not much is open at 8:00am in terms of attractions.

The perk for staying onsite is the unlimited Express access during your stay not early entry.

Guests staying onsite can also get early entry to Universal Studios, but it is only for Jimmy Neutron and Shrek.

it depends on the package you book for the early entry.

not everyone staying on site is allowed the EE.

The nice thing about staying onsite is that you can sleep in then stroll to the front of any ride you choose, as often as you feel like doing it.

We were allowed EE the beginning of Oct when we were there. We are APH's and never book a package. We went in did Jimmy Neutron then got in line for the line for RRR.

Thanks to all for the responses. Curiously, do vacation package guests have some kind of designation on their tickets or hotel keys? If not, how would anyone at the parks ever know you have a package or not?

Hi there,

I just came back from a vacation package. My ticket said something like UVP, Universal Vacation Package and thus, allowed me to enter 30 minutes early.
