I don't know anything about RCI, really. I think you have to deposit the points as a one-way transaction, what, 45 days prior to their expiration? That's getting kind of close for those of us with June UYs that have had our points put back. Mine were put back and my Easter week reservation automatically cancelled yesterday.
Having said that, RCI is a Hail Mary to me. I could care less about having points sitting in deposit for RCI, but apparently it beats just losing them. At least I have some sort of option as opposed to just losing them.
Here's the thing. That 45 day window is fast approaching. DVCM needs to make a declaration. Right or wrong, they need to declare something. I'm already mad, but not nearly as mad as I'm going to be if I put those points into RCI and then the week after they decide, "Well, we're going to let you bank those points." even if it's with conditions, and there I sit having just put my points on a one-way ticket to RCI. I don't want RCI points. I don't need RCI points. I want to use my points at Disney like I bought them for. I already tried to, but they closed the resort on me and took my week away.
If you have a June UY, what are you doing? Have you decided? Did you even know RCI was an option? What dice are you rolling? Earth's getting mighty big in our (supposed to be) picture window that's looking mighty foggy right about now.
