I know you can purchase most items located in the parks through Disney Merchandising, but had a question. I wanted to get a pair of the gold ears, but would like to get my name monogramed. Can they do this?

We were there a few weeks ago and had the santa hats done. There were tons of people in the parks with the gold mickey ears hats monogrammed. We had ours done at MGM studios.

:flower: Yes, go to the Magic Kingdom and as soon as you enter under the rail road there on your right is where I got mine. The lady who monograms this does it free hand with no pattern and both of my children's were perfect! I might have been the ONLY PERSON who did not know the monogramers used no pattern but WOW I was impressed! I 'm sorry I can't remember the name but maybe the mechendise number could tell you. I bought a Christmas ornament and had it monogramed from the merchendise # but it was a couple of years ago.

Great info! We've never bought monogrammed ears, but I think we might this trip if it fits in the budget. Any idea on price? Is there a range (e.g., more for gold)?

Yup You can get them done right at the Hat store nect to the Confectionarry store(CandyStore) in MainStreet....We just had them done on Wednesday for my DD.....Really cute!!!

I can't remeber exactly because we bought lots (both traditional and gold) for souveniers! DH says gold were under 12.00!Worth the price :teeth:

We were at MK on 12/26 for my 2 year olds 1st visit and bought her the
pink minnie ears for $7.50 the CM that sold them to us told us to go to the Chapo shop at the end of Main St. It cost $2.13 to have my daughters name stiched on and it only took about 5 minutes from the time we walked in the door until we walked out with it. It was the shortest wait we had all day!!!! As the other poster said it is behind the candy store (as you enter the park it would be on the right ) and down the side street at the end. As far as having it done mail order i don't know. You could always get the gold ears then have the name stiched on the next time you go..... there you go an excuse to go to disney (as if any of us need one!!!)

The embroidering (a heavy stitch) at MGM was 6 bucks i think. The simple stitch, as done at the MK is $2 plus tax

Made a mistake. What I meant was can you buy a pair of the gold ears through Disney Merchandising over the phone and have them monogram the ears, then mail them to you at home? I'd like to get a pair of the WDW one's, but won't be going back to WDW again until next November (after Thanksgiving). By then the 50th celebration will be over, as it ends in September 2006.

Call The Days Of Christmas at DTD direct. You will most likely get an answering machine, but they do call back. They will do them and mail them to you.

I ordered them from laughingplacestore.com. They were $18 (not cheap) but that's the price I pay for not getting them in the park. I want them before we go on our next trip so we can have them with us as we travel.

You can get 15% off right now as an end of year sale.
