youre ramming metal through your flesh, then youre leaving it there for two months, then putting more metal in it.

its not a clean process.

How long does it hurt? Does it hurt cuz of the hole tool thing?

The pain of getting it done is over with before you know it, so it is not so bad. What hurts and is uncomfortable is the month (s) afterward. They are sore to sleep on, itchy and sometimes and red. Basically just the soreness/tenderness for sometimes months afterward is the pain.

Is Claires good? I know on there site there supposed to be 1 of the best, but are they good?

OMG do NOT get your ears peirces there i had to get mine redone after i got them peirced TWICE from there.....i would go to Merle Normans or somewhere like that...

I have been wanting to get my ears pierced, but I don't know how to ask/tell my mom. I am going school shopping about a week before school starts and was thinking "hey, they have a Claire's in the mall, maybe I could get my ears done there?" Well like I said, I don't know how to tell or ask her. She had hers pierced when she was my age also. So. Where did you get your pierced? How old were you? Did you have a hard time asking you mom or whoever? Did it hurt?

First two piercings: I was 40 days old. Doctor's office.
Third piercing: 11 years old at Claires.
Fourth piercing: 13 years old at Claires.
Going on fifth and sixth soon at Claires. I'm getting the cartilage at the top done.

It doesn't hurt. I didn't have a hard time asking at first because I was a month old and my mom decided (obviously). Second and third time we happened to be in front of Claires and I asked and that was it...I went and did it.

I got my first piercing when I was 7 or 8 I think at the Piercing Pagoda but they closed because I left them out for a dance recital.

I got it repierced at Claires when I was 10 or 11 I think.It didn't hurt.

Then I got my second piercing when I was 13 at piercing pagoda. But I closed those aswell

I got my first holes the day I turned 5. I got my doubles a couple months after I turned 12... just because that's when I decided I wanted them.

Just ask. What's the worst that could happen?

I got both of mine done at Claire's... it has always worked fine, I just don't reccommend using the stuff they give you. I got infections both times from it. OUr doctor says just to use rubbing alchohol. It didn't hurt but for more than a second, right afterwards, it kind of burned.

Now I want my cartiladge done on one ear and half way up, I guess where a 3rd hole would be, on the other. My mom says no to the cartiladge, but I haven't asked her about the other one yet.

Its probably...your ears causing the problem... not claires.

and if it is claires, its probably an isolated problem with your claires.

they're never removed from the needle. the whole mess is just thrown away. like in doctors offices.

i was hoping it would be something like that. even still, i find it all slightly nauseating.

First Piercing: 6 at some random place I can't remember. I let them close because they annoyed me. Lobes.

Second Piercing: 9 at Claire's. I had no problems with them. They did a good job. Lobes.

Third Piercing: 15 by myself. Recieved no infection whatsoever. Used a safety pin I found in my room, didn't sanitize it or anything. Cartilage piercing. I do not reccomend doing that.

Fourth/Fifth Piercing: Hopefully coming soon from my Brother-in-Law. Going to be second and third lobe holes.

Sixth/Seventh Piercing: The day I turn 18. Gonna get my lip done (labret) and hopefully a Monroe.

I don't know if you'd consider gauging a piercing, but I currently have 14 guage lobe holes. I'm working my way to an 8 or a 6 guage.

1st piercing...I was 3, went to the mall...made my mom get me a cookie before I would let them do the second ear

2nd piercing...Walmart...I was 14...

3rd piercing...Walmart...I was 18...

4th piercing...my bathroom....I was 18

I've done my fair share of my own piercings. Trust me. don't go there. My ears grow up, so every 2-3 months I redo them. safety pins are my choice of weaponry.

It was you that mentioned Monroe piercings on another thread about piercings so I went to check them out and I totally fell in love with them. I think they're amazing.

Safety pins are the best. My mother doesn't seem to think so, though. Seeing as I no longer have any in the house...

Ahh...I pierced my belly button the first time with a safety pin....it's done professionally now!

Yep, same here. Well, I'd accept anything on the ear except for that part inside your ear that some people pierce. I don't know how they do that! Its so thick there!
