Ears in my Room.

I know that Peggy used to be able to delivery ears to your room...

However, DF has asked me twice this week if it is possible to get our bride and groom ears in our room when we get there. I didn't know if there is anyone else who can do this?

Does anyone know???

I don't think anything can be delivered directly to your room before checking in (even Peggy's). They will, however, hold it for you at the check-in desk.
I am at school right now, but when I get home tonight I can give you some websites to check out.

Try giftsofalifetime. They may be able to get you the ears. But, I don't think anyone can get them into your room before you actually check in.

Disney just sent me an email with a new thing they're trying through September were they will deliver certain things to your room. I guess they are trying this out to see if it is viable. (I'm surprised I haven't seen it announced on the DIS boards)

Right now it is only through September and the things available to deliver are few (no bride and groom ears) . BUT if this works out they will most likely expand the offerings, when are you going to be there?

I really wanted a name tag for ds on our trip the 15th, but they don't offer this (yet).

OK, I found out through asking that Disney Florist can take anything available through the Disney merchandise mail order service and put it into a basket/arrangement for you. So if you wanted to have them put into something, like a gift basket, or incorporate them into a floral arrangement. Or better yet, they do offer baskets with either wine, champagne, sparkling cider, or even beer. Putting the hats in something like that would be nice.

This is what I did (as instructed by them through an e-mail from a lady named Marie Hart).

First I called Disney Mail Order to make sure they even had the merchandise I wanted in my basket, they did. Their number:407-363-6200

Then I browsed the florist's website (disneyflorist.com) to see what they offered, or what they could do. They can custimize stuff, but since I was already doing something different I just picked a basket they already had to make it easier for them.

Then I called and ordered the basket I wanted, told them what I was doing so that they knew to expect the merchandise, paid, and this gave me the order # for them.
Their number: 407-827-3505 ( i know they have an 800 number, but I can't find it.)

Then I called Mail order and talked to Barbara (Marie said to talk to Edie, Barbara, or Sandra). Explained it was for a basket that Disney Florist was doing for me, gave them the order # from Disney Florist so they make a note of it and so Disney Florist would know what order the merchandise was for when they got it.

Marie said to call a day or two before the delivery date to make sure they got the mershandise and make sure everything turned out ok. We'll see how it goes on the 14th.
Not quite as nice or simple as Peggy's service but it's nice to know it can be done in a round about way.

FYI on the name badges........The gold Mickey one and the Tink one are both being discontinued. If you want name badges you should order them now


also delivery from the new Disney service is not guareented for when you check in. It states that it will be delivered the day of check in unless you check in after 9pm and then it will be delivered the next day.

most delivery services deliver to your resort the day before you check in so that your order is waiting for you at check in.

I was also told this when planning somehting for our honeymoon in Feb 07. They said they do not allow anyone into the rooms prior to us checking in, so anything to be sent to the room will be sent sometime during the day we check in. We also are trying to get the Bride and Grooms ears. I saw a site for disney things online will have to look up the site addy, but they had the bride and groom ears. The grooms were about 16-18 dollars, and the brides were a good bit more about 30-32. They can send them by mail to your home if you rather, so you can have them ready to go when you arrive there.
